TV commentary:

Glee- The Rocky Horror Picture Show episode. I've seen RHPS a couple of times, but I'm not a hardcore fan or anything, so I wasn't set in my expectations for the songs. Interesting, got some stunt casting with Meatloaf and Barry Bostwick making a cameo appearance. Heh, I know the show obviously would support Will and Emma in the long run, but just like they had Rach be kinda unlikable the first few eps, Will was a huge douche this ep. I mean, its hard to see how Will is better than Carl for Emma currently. I mean, after hearing about Emma and Carl's foray into RHPS, he's all "Oh, BTW, the kids and I are doing that show!" Will, you a-hole! But I'm glad he at least saw he was being an idiot and apologized for trying to mess with her and Carl's relationship. And also, using the kids as pawns for that agenda.

The male body image stuff/Sue trying to trick Will so she could run that ep of Sue's Corner denouncing the play as racy and inappropriate and win a local emmy was eerily prescient, as it was quite apropos to the recent GQ scandal. But yeah, I guess when what Sue is saying is correct and makes total sense, that's when you have to have a reality check, William! Good to see it got through to him. And I also like that in the end they didn't claim RHPS was inappropriate but said it was good in that it was something people who felt like outcasts could flock to. That it was something that spoke to them. (Oh, btw, it was hilarious that Sue doesn't like RHPS because she thought people were tossing the toast at her and her sister!)

I'm sure some people will have issues with continuity, given Britanna are fine and dandy, with none of the issues they seemed to have last ep. But hey, I'm always all fine for two hot young lesbians happy and in love times. And heh, apparently Santana pantsed Brit the last time the Cheerios won, and she was wearing "much less than underwear"? spcv('Nice!') But yeah, their whole part in the background of "Touch-a Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me!" was cute. And the "Creature of the Night" part of the song was hysterical especially with Finn being all "Creature of the night?" And does that mean in that sequence, Emma was fantasizing about some students in addition to Will and Carl?

And I know some people were up in arms about Mercedes playing Frank-N-Furter, but I liked how that came about. Mike was originally going play Frank, but then his parents pulled him out, and Mercedes, wanting a lead, asked Will if she could play it. And I don't care what people say, sure she sings "Sweet Transvestite" in a different way than the original, but I loved her rendition. And Finn and Rach's hammy acting in the parts was hysterical.

I also loved Time Warp in the end. And hey Brittany getting a solo part in the song was a welcome surprise! But yeah, I heard people were up in arms about certain characters having a part in that song when they didn't originally, but at least it made sense in the context of the story- they weren't doing the play at that point, they were just having fun with the number.

And OMG, apparently they'll be doing "Livin' On a Prayer" next ep!?! Ah can't wait!
