Oct. 23rd, 2010 03:51 pmHeh, I've mentioned before having dreams where something cool or interesting is happening to me in the dream, and my dream self is all, I should tweet about this, or starts formulating a LJ post about it. But since I've been fiddling with Miso and 4Square on my phone ever since I got it, now that's thrown into the mix too. Like my dream last night, I was visiting some places in England I had actually remarked to myself, "Oh, I better not forget to check in to these places on 4Square!"
TV Commentary:
Smallville- Well, color me surprised! Clark finally reveals his secret to Lois. And Lois reveals she already knows. Finally, there's no more hemming and hawing about "Should I tell the other I know?"!
Also surprising, that Ollie and Clark trust Tess enough to make her the new Watchtower.
And the whole thing with Tess raising the Lex clone, isn't it a little creepy? Like when young Alex is all "I love you!" its in a child/parent way. And she's touched. But isn't she basically raising the child version of a guy she had a thing for? And since its growing up real fast, what happens when it starts reaching adult age? Wouldn't it start turning a little incestuous?!
Supernatural- Hmm, so we're starting to learn more about Sam's fishiness. Not only did he let Dean get turned as Samuel suspected to help them try and find the alpha vampire, he actually seemed to enjoy what was happening to his brother. So is there a bit of Lucifer still in him? Something worse? But given he was lying to Samuel as well, I guess if their gramps is off as well, its in a way that Sam is unaware of, and vice versa.
Ah, but they seem to have gone the Lost Boys route, where Dean would've only become a full vampire if he fed. But since he didn't, he was able to be cured.
Degrassi- Weird, so they did go that one route. After Fiona talks to Holly J and says she didn't really want to do it, she reports back to her brother, and they do suspect that Holly J feels Declan raped her. She doesn't really, but of course Declan worries that she does, because she avoids him for most of the ep, and when he tries to talk to her, she gives him all sorts of non-answers.
Anyways, so he was all ready to transfer back to Degrassi to be with her, since he already has enough credits, he just has to keep his grades up. But after this incident, he wants to leave to avoid hurting her further. But then she finds out she is getting into Yale (which I didn't think was the problem, it was affording it), and the main reason she was pulling away from him- that they didn't have a future together, is gone. She sees him before he leaves so they can talk it out. I guess since she's gotten to a place where she's not sure where she and Declan stand anymore (and she's been seeing Sav), they're gonna continue on their break and figure out where they stand when it comes time to go to Yale?
Back to the whole rape issue, I guess they at least say it was a very grey area. I don't think what Declan did was rape, I mean, he didn't physically force her, and he didn't think he was pressuring her as much as she did, but she seemed to say yes just to get it over with and avoid further awkwardness. So technically, she didn't want to, but is it rape if the girl does it out of sympathy or wanting to avoid an awkward situation?
The other plot involved Claire and Eli. Claire is continuing to act out in the hopes that she will unite her parents against her so they won't get divorced. It doesn't work, and she manages to piss off Eli at the family dinner she invites him to when she makes it clear he's someone her parents would totally hate and rubs it in their faces.
And hey, Chantay manages to rally enough support to convince Snake he's being ridiculously nazi now, and that punishing all the students, even those not involved with the stuff at the dance, and not telling them what they can do to make up for it and prove they don't need such draconian measures is just going to foster resentment.
