geebsSo, was in a managerial class all day. During lunch break, I was sitting with a couple of the chyx in class at Junior's for lunch. And since I was formerly a student here, they were all, "you're a young one, when you get to be our age..." and I think only one of them was actually older than me. The other might be my age. Like I don't think they did the math. I mean, if I say I've been here for 11 years (which is far longer than the couple of years they've been here), and was a student from 94-99, I think you can figure out my age, and I'm not actually young.
But I suppose I do look young. Or do I actually, or is it that I dress the same I did back in college and most of my interests are similar to someone much younger than me so I seem younger? That one chick at AE did say I was quite older than she expected when she saw my license.
TV commentary:
Glee- Quick Glee shot, watching Mercedes and Santana's performance of "River Deep, Mountain High" again, does Santana's dance routine include the Peanuts dance (I was gonna say Snoopy dance but she was dancing like one of the kids, not Snoopy himself) and some Tae-Bo moves?!
SVU- Wow, Aunt May is rjv('Cold blooded!') I was trying to figure out why I had apparently been on the new ADA's (wait, so is the new ADA every ep gonna be a thing?) imdb page. I'm guessing it was because of that Deja Vu movie. Weird, so she's Jason Seaver's daughter in law (okay, his real life singer son, not Mike or Ben)? Also, wtf?! Alcide from True Blood/Owen from OTH was Flash Thompson in the Spiderman movies?! Holy crap, he really does look different without facial hair!
Anyways, how ridiculous was this episode? Were they really trying to vilify soda companies?! Sure, soda isn't exactly healthy for you, but an episode painting soda companies in the same light as big tobacco?!
Life Unexpected- Heh, I can't believe they did a cross-over with One Tree Hill! Wow, they actually made a Cate looks like "that girl from Roswell" joke?! I mean, do the people who would be watching this know what Roswell is anymore? But ha, Tasha wanting to nickname Lux "Slux". Well, she was dressed kinda slutty:
Seriously, though, what the hell is up with Cate and Baze, I know they're not gonna win parents of the year anytime soon, but once they saw Paige's "makeover" of their teenage daughter, shouldn't they say, "hell no, you're not wearing that to some concert!" Even if they were both there to sort of chaperon.
Hmm, the whole thing with Anya being into an unavailable guy, could it be that she was having an affair with Baze's dad?!
And wow, I'm surprised Ryan is still with Cate after finding out she was still on the pill. I mean, I guess he was all, unless you give me a good reason, I can't see myself staying in this relationship, and I suppose he felt she did. But between that and the other shit she's pulled, he's the most understanding guy in the world! Well, he seems more a sucker than anything.
But ha, Lux, you snooze you lose! On the one hand I'm glad to see Jones not continue to be as big a sucker as Ryan as well as Tasha get play (because as she said, it's kinda BS that Lux is complaining about her life when she has things a hell of a lot better than Tash), but that's just gonna push Lux back towards teacher guy. Which seems silly, because wasn't he just telling her she has crappy taste in guys because she always chooses guys who she knows can't work out, while passing by good guys like Jones? So even though she missed out on Jones, that doesn't mean she should drown her sorrows with teacher guy. Still, how deliciously cruel- he convinces her about the whole picking wrong guys on purpose, so it won't work out on its own, because if she picked right guys then she'd have to end up sabotaging it herself since her MO is to leave people before they can leave her. So she goes running to Jones, and catches him making out with Tasha! Like I said, I can't feel too sorry for her.
