Sporcle Quiz:

Name the lead actor and actress from these films from the 2000s- Wow, I'm surprised I got all but one. I expected to miss more. And the one I did miss (the wife/mother in the Incredibles) I knew the actress, I wracked my brain trying to replay commercials for "Saving Grace" in my head to remember her name, I just couldn't get it to spring to mind in time.

TV Commentary:

SVU- Heh, I did not realize Gloria Reuben played two characters on this show- when I saw the guide saying they get help from an old friend, her, at first I was thinking, the lady who's daughter got kidnapped by the werido who liked dolls? And I was like, so she became a US attorney after all that?! That was kinda random. But then I looked it up and noticed she was in another ep as a diff character. From the description, I remembered it was the one where Method Man was intimidating witnesses, one of whom was this African polygamist guy, and one of his wives was the chick Other in the Looking Glass station who was not Jake from Melrose Place's wife on Swingtown.

Fringe- Hmm, so will the show alternate each week between the two universes? Wait, are the opening credits different depending on which universe they're in? Interesting bad guy this week- I've always been fascinated when they do someone manipulating probability and doing a small little thing which sets off a crazy thing to happen that they want. I mean, anyone can take a gun and smoke someone, but its quite elegant to off someone in some crazy Rube Goldberg way. Though I'm kinda amused how Olivia's other-verseness worked to save her. Since she didn't know the ways of the alt-verse with the signs alerting people to when the atmosphere is compromised, she totally ignored that danger, which screwed up smart guy's calculations.

Interesting though, it seems Charlie might eventually figure out this Olivia is not the Olivia from his world. But what's with all the guys on the team thinking she's so great? Like both Charlie and Lincoln had the "Who knows Liv better thing?" going on. Though I guess as the show has progressed, I'm finding Olivia looking way hotter. Particularly Alt-Olivia (or I guess that would be actual Olivia now, who thinks she's Fauxlivia?)

Other odd things from the ep: They have that one scene where they're all, "A pen, what's that?!" but then the next scene, Liv's bf is looking at a calendar on the fridge with stuff HAND WRITTEN on it. So not everything is digital, they apparently still write, so the idea of using a pen shouldn't be that crazy. And before this ep, I figured what the bad guy was doing what Astrid normally does, but apparently not! I mean, I guess she just comes up with probabilities, not figure out how she can use all that data to manipulate events to cause a desired outcome. But still, the idea of someone doing that shouldn't be "impossible". I would think its still only improbable. Even if they didn't know of the existence of the super smart people who could do that, surely she could extrapolate that somehow someone was doing what she did, only better.

It didn't accept "snaggletooth" for the lead in Spider-man. Hmphf.
