geebs | I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say

So on my way back from Junior's, I was thinking about what I spend most of my time thinking about. So far, I've come up with: (as usual, in no particular order)

-hot chyx
-guns/military stuff
-comic book/sci fi/fantasy geek stuff
-tv/movies, replaying them in my head for my own amusement
-formulating my next lj post/tweet/fb update
-contemplating bursting into song and dance and resisting the urge to actually do so.

Oh, at Dragon Con, there was a giant moth in the gaming room. Now, its well known I don't like bugs, but its a product of how I was raised! When I was growing up, the adults put the fear of moths into me by claiming they release a dust that could permanently blind me. And then they'd always warn me about playing in

7500centfish's backyard saying I'd get bitten by a tick and get some sort of horrible disease. I know I'm old enough to know better now, but it's just gotten so ingrained in me. Its just amusing, because they spent my entire childhood not wanting me to play outside, not letting me join the scouts, etc, by telling me scary stories of germ/disease/poison carrying insects and animals out there in the wild, and then they wonder why I don't like doing outdoorsy stuff!

Argh, I was all egg-cited because I just noticed a box of chocolate chip cookies behind me, but it turned out to be oatmeal raisin.

TV Commentary:

Secret Life- What the eff?! George and Anne are on the outs again? You know, when Ricky was being all smart ass last week and made Anne wonder is she could trust George, and then the ep description this week had her suspicious he cheated on her? I thought that was going to turn out to be unfounded. But then something happened last summer apparently?

Of course, I don't remember the timeline of this show, but weren't they not even together last Summer? And she was seeing some other guy and basically saying she had no interest in getting back together with George? So how is it cheating if they weren't together?! I mean, sure, she was carrying his child at the time, but if I remember it right, they weren't together, and by her choice.

If it was just that, whatever, now they're saying George isn't actually happy with her, and he was just wanting to get back with her and make things work for the sake of their family?! WTF, where's this retcon coming from? I mean, he seemed pretty into her because he loved her this past couple of seasons. Yeah, he started out cheating on her, but it seemed as the show went on he realized he really loves her, but now they're saying that's not the case?!

So the summer season ends with Adrian and Ben possibly getting together, and Ricky and Amy? I'm indifferent on the latter couple, but I've always thought Ben and Adrian would be interesting. Of course, this show is just gonna piss me off when it returns by making it that even though the couples seem into each other, that suddenly what we've seen is a lie and they really are only with each other b/c they're angry/can't be with their opposite number in the other couple (i.e. Ben and Amy, Adrian and Ricky).
