True Blood- So, those werewolves that captured Bill work for the King of Mississippi. Speaking of, can he and his partner be more flaming?! Speaking of flaming, so's Lorena, whom Bill sets on fire as soon as she shows up to the dinner he's having with the King and his gay lover. Anyways, even though the King is totally ghey, he wants to offer Bill a sheriff-ship in Mississippi if he would spy on Sophie Anne for him. But not for anything nefarious, apparently he wants to marry the Queen. How does that work with territory? I would think other territories might get incensed at the King of Miss and the Queen of LA getting married and basically having a bigger slice to rule over. Notwithstanding the fact that he's obviously gay and it would be a purely political marriage.
Anyways, turns out these werewolves in his employ date back to the Nazi times. Well, even before that, but we get a flashback to Eric and Godric disguised as SS officers hunting that particular pack of werewolves, trying to figure out who their master is. I'm curious, is their master (whom the nekkid werewolf hottie chick Eric and Godric captured in WWII says is a vampire like them) actually the King, or is that flashback a ruse meant to trick us, and we think its the King, but they're actually following someone else.
So since Bill refuses the King, he basically threatens to kill Sookie if he doesn't go along with him. Lucky for her, she has Eric protecting her. Of course, she has to beg and plead with Eric, and of course he acts like its this big deal and he's so put out, but in the end you know he will because he lurves her. Also, he flirts with her non stop this whole time, and is a little disappointed when he see's Bill's engagement ring on her fingers. In the end, he finally gets her to invite her in since he senses one of the wolves in her house.
Lafayette manages to stop Tara from killing herself, then takes her to see his mom in the nuthouse to show her that everyone in their family is effed up, but the two of them can fight back against their genes and overcome that darkness inside. She's still depresso, but she seems to make a new vampire friend, played by Forney! Well, friend is a strong word. He kind gives her the intense eyes, and then when some rednecks make racist comments about Eggs and pissing on the spot where Jason killed him (not realizing Tara was right there), he helps her kick his ass. Too bad he's some sort of spy, for someone.
Sam meets his family- apparently his mom got knocked up at 16, and his dad (only a human) was in jail, so they gave him up for adoption, thinking he'd have a better life. His new younger brother is totally jealous. He's all, "let's go for a run!" So they turn into dogs and do, and he almost gets Sam run over. On purpose. What a dick!
Jason's still freaking out over Eggs, and is more than a little jealous that Andy's this big hero who killed a serial killer. But when Andy's driving home because he's too drunk to drive, Andy is forced to take him along when he goes to bust some meth lab with Kenya. As she and Andy chase down a meth head, Jason's mesmerized by some silent blond beauty that wanders around and disappears. But, he snaps out of it and manages to capture the meth head. Hmm, I wonder if he'll try to become a deputy?
As for Jessica, heh, she goes to Pam for advice (who I guess doesn't find her nearly as annoying anymore) on how not to kill someone when she's drinking them. (I guess for fun times with Hoyt?) She's still too scared to get back with Hoyt, afraid she'll kill him like she did that trucker. Unfortunately, even though he seemed quite dead, his body disappeared and now there's a creaking coming from under the house.
WoWP- You know, for a show on a certain channel, its actually quite dark! Like, I thought the last ep with Juliet and Mason was pretty dark. I mean, Justin finally rescues her from the Mummy, but then you find out she and Mason used to be an item. So Alex is upset and its all angsty, and somehow in the process of proving he loves her, Mason gets pissed at Justin and wolfs out and attacks him. So, Juliet is forced to vamp out to protect Justin. And then they end up wounding each other, and apparently in that universe, when a vamp bites a werewolf, he turns fully into a wolf forever, and when a wolf scratches a vamp, they lose their powers. So Mason becomes a wolf, and Juliet's age catches up to her, and the Russo siblings basically just watched their respective SOs kill each other. Well, Mason didn't die, but his human side sorta did. So, that I thought was a pretty dark story.
Now this season, they introduce that Stevie girl. Whom I don't think is necessarily evil, she just wanted to keep her powers. So she's more anti-Wizard establishment. But they act like she's trying to take over the world. She wasn't- she just hated the system that forces wizard progeny to compete against each other (within families) to determine who keeps their magic when they come of age. Why does it have to go to one, anyways?
Poor Alex, her brother thinks the worst of her, that she would actually follow Stevie. And did his memory of the movie get wiped? He acts like Alex would totally do that because she has no chance of beating him fair and square in the competition, but she won it in the movie, and chose to give up her powers to turn back time. In any case, I don't know why he's so cocky. It always seemed like he was the smart and studious one, but Alex has more natural talent, and if she actually tried, she would totally wipe the floor with him.
But I digress, so, she freezes Stevie so her powers can transfer to her brother, but then she ends up shattering. Doesn't that mean she's dead?! But Harper and the Russos are so blase about it. They're all, "Oh, this person we knew just died a pretty grisly death! Let's go to the fair!" Well, Harper and Alex leave, even though I would think Alex would have a somewhat deeper bond with her former and now dead friend. And Justin and Max basically draw on her passed out brother's face. Like "ha ha, we drew in your face! By the way, those chunks all around you are your dead sister!" Obviously, things between them weren't good since she fled rather than turn her powers over to him. But I would think he'd still be pissed if she got killed!
