10 Things- Even though they showed the last two eps back to back last week, the finale only came up on hulu today. I still can't believe they canceled this show. I mean, how can they tout this as their third most popular show and drop it! They cancel this but keep Secret Life?! And like Kyle XY, this show ends totally unresolved. Oh, and I just saw that the chick who plays Dawn played that androgynous doctor in that one ep of Bones were they were trying to figure out if it was a dude or a chick. Weird! This last ep though, in the locker room with the mid-riff baring baby T-shirt and tight short shorts, there's no doubt she's a chick. spcv('Nice!')
Anyways, onto the actual ep. So Bianca and Dawn quit cheerleading for Chastity, hoping the rest of the girls will let them back on, figuring they wouldn't be able to replace them before the big game. But then ha they find out Chastity decided to transfer out to a private school since she lost her head cheerleader status, since that school has an opening for queen B. So they basically screwed their status for Chastity, who screwed them over. If this show wasn't canceled, would Chastity really have transferred? Then you have that one model chick putting the moves on Joey on biggest poser, and ha, just when he plants a kiss on him in the hot tub, they cut to "to be continued..." on the show. Isn't it taped in advance? Like I doubt Joey would actually fall for that chick, wouldn't he have tried to set things straight with Bianca?
So Kat runs against Blank for student body prez, and Kat and Cameron make a campaign tape that Blank thinks finishes him. But that turncoat Tabitha switches the tapes at the rally, replacing her tape with the one where she vents about how the rest of her classmates are morons. Though, I've seen the whole version of the rapping video. Its quite embarrassing and terrible, I'm not sure that's any better than her lambasting the other students! Sure, as Blank says, it will show she doesn't have a stick up her ass, but it also makes her out to be a weird dork, so I'm not sure how that would win her votes.
Interesting though, Blank immediately tries to tell Kat he had nothing to do with it. So again, if this show wasn't canceled, would they have gone further with this Patrick/Kat/Blank triangle? And then, after the shitty day she had, Patrick comforts her and they end up sleeping together in her room, since her dad is supposed to be away at a conference. I cannot believe the show ends with him walking in on them! Man, talk about unsatisfying, ending with so many open threads.
Burn Notice- Heh, when Michael Ironside shows up, at first I was thinking, "That actor looks like a fat Michael Ironside!" Then I realized, oh wait, that actually is Michael Ironside. Now there's an even bigger disconnect between him and Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell. I mean, I already found the Splinter Cell voice work slightly jarring because Sam Fisher isn't nearly as old looking as Michael Ironside. But now I won't be able to stop picturing that this spec-ops bad-ass is being voiced by some old out of shape dude. Anyways, onto the actual ep. Mikey is good and all, but I didn't think he was supposed to be so l33t. I mean, this super-secret spy organization haven't been able to find this mysterious person warring with them, but somehow Michael is supposed to figure out what the hundreds of people already working for them can't?
Its interesting they were all, "These psychopaths and turncoats working for us haven't worked out, so we decided to start hiring upstanding guys like you!" Wasn't Victor someone normal and stable like him, until Carla slaughtered his family in order to burn him? So it didn't seem like they were actively going after outright monsters, just people they figured would be a useful asset and they burned them so they could recruit them?
But heh, I was amused at Michael pouting because Fi didn't seem appropriately sad enough when he showed back up. At least she smacked him for being an idiot. I mean, he's gone and disappeared before with them worrying if he was alive or dead. By this time, I would think they would be resigned to not getting too worked up about him being missing and hoping its just like the other times and he'll show up later just fine. But even then, they said they spent weeks busting heads and kicking down doors looking for him. So its not like they didn't care, they were basically just diving into work to not feel worried and scared for him.
Interesting ending though, so Michael ends up accidentally burning a fellow spy. I wonder how that's gonna work out. I assume Mike is gonna try and help the guy out?
