Smallville- On the one hand, this show is ridiculous. But on the other, I didn't realize they were dipping into the past and actually have a lot of clever little callbacks. - I mean, Zod and his soldiers are clones of the originals, but I forget Zod is not the only one who turned bad. Those original soldiers followed Zod when he destroyed Krypton. But yeah, I guess since I haven't been too invested in the show, I did not realize that Faora chick has been on Smallville before. Not the actress, but one of the past phantoms was Faora and was Zod's bride. I totally forgot she was the one who made Doomsday!
So, I thought it was an interesting callback, particularly with Faora-2 being preggers with Zod-2's kid, when the originals could not conceive a child. But there's a war coming. Zod struck a huge and visible blow to Checkmate, so they're gonna be out for blood. And interesting, did Vala and the others just not believe Clark when he told them his suspicions that it was actually Zod who killed Faora, or if they were still pissed over Checkmate ambushing them that they're willing to look the other way on Faora's death (and I'm guessing Zod was so upset because he didn't realize she was pregnant with his child when he killed her for betraying him? And how macabre is that, to have him listen to his unborn kid's final heartbeats before it dies?) and take revenge on the humans?
But seriously, how is the world not frakked? In past seasons, they showed how much trouble Zod, or just two random Kyrptonians can be. There's like more than a dozen to two dozen of them now? They could run over the world in a heartbeat, even if there are all those kryptonite weapon stockpiles Chloe and Oliver have been keeping. Plus, didn't Zod and red kryptonite influenced Clark destroy a number of those depots?
The preview for next week's ep is interesting, Martha's back. And you know, I never thought about it before, but I'm assuming she's the red queen? I mean, despite the ridiculousness of the shows plots, that would actually make a whole lot of sense. She's a senator now, and I'm sure if she ever got wind of Checkmate, she'd do everything in her power to protect Clark, he is her son! She actually would be in a position to be the Red Queen. And why Martian Manhunter answers to her, since he was also tasked with protecting Clark. And Martha would be someone he couldn't tell Clark was his boss, because if he heard his mommy was doing something like that to protect him, Clark would start trying to be all protective her and tell her to stop.
Degrassi- Okay, this show has had me swallow some implausible scenarios, but this has go to be one of the biggest ones. So Peter, a kid still in high school with a record of drug use and underground car racing among other things, is able to clean up the loft above the Dot in a day and parlay that into a new club anyone can hanging out?! That's total BS!
Supernatural- This was kinda a filler ep, but at the same time, not. I mean, there's so much more they could've done to progress the story, coming up with some friend of Sam's we'd never heard of who was secretly a demon and was the one who actually killed Jessica was a weird plot. Its like, who gives a crap about this guy?
And actually, what happens when Angels and Demons die? I dunno about the angels, but for the demons, when they killing them with things like Ruby's knife or the Colt, I just figured they were sending them back to hell, and they just can't cross back to Earth. But it sounds like it might be permanent death, since Crowley said he'd do Brady a favor and sic-ed Sam on him and kill him off now rather than let Lucifer get a hold of him and torture him forever since Crowley made it seem like they were in cahoots. And if it was just banishment, I figured then what does killing him do, its like with the Winchesters and Zacariah, doesn't that mean Lucifer can get to him?
And if Bobby believes Crowley is gonna give his soul back, he's a moron. I'd believe it more if he was deciding to make a noble sacrifice.
