TV Commentary:

House- So House ends up trying to break up 2 of his co-workers relationships in this ep. Though to be fair, I don't actually recall House telling Taub to ask for an open marriage with his wife. I mean, he made references to Sara from Prison Break's open marriage, and then some psycho-babble, but (someone correct me if I'm wrong) I don't think he actually told him to have an open marriage. In any case, his wife gives him the green light, but then when its almost time, she shows up begging Taub not too. To his credit, he does not. But then later, when he helps Maya (the chick he was going to do something with) puts some stuff in her car, one thing leads to another and he drives off with her! What a jerk!

So while I don't think House advised Taub to have an open marriage or an affair, he did do some passive aggressive things to supposedly make "Wilson stand up for himself". Which, while a little jerky, it did force Wilson and Libby to deal with legitimate issues they had that would just cause a repeat of their last marital problems. Of course, when he thought they were broken up, he was all pissed at House being, "sure, we wouldn't have confronted those problems, but at least she'd still be here!" Which is one of the reasons she did break up with him that first time, because he is so lackadaisical about issues she thinks he should resent her for, and she didn't even know about the other issues he was letting go. If House didn't do that, then all that would've happened would be that fight would've taken places years later when they were more invested in that relationship and cause even more heartache. But at least they realized House did a good thing.

Although in the end, while House said he was just doing that to force Wilson to face a legit issue and helping him for the sake of his relationship with Libby, he continues to do those passive-aggressive things to try and sabotage them.

Gossip Girl- Wait, so Lily being sick comes out, but its possible that the whole sickness is being orchestrated by her ex-husband, Serena's father, so he can get back into their lives? WTF? And to what end? Like he was gone so long, why is he trying to get back with now?

As expected, Vanessa gets the Tish spot. Dan claims to be fine with it, but that doesn't stop him from being assy about it. To be fair, I think her thought was, "hey, it'd be awesome if I get in and then me and Dan can be together". And Vanessa apologizes, saying if she knew there was gonna be only one spot, she wouldn't have tried out for it. Of course, when she's asks Dan if he wants her to turn the thing down, he's all, "no, don't be silly!" even though you know he totally wants her to.

He also vents to Willa Weinstein about it, and then lets slip that her entry was based on one of his former works (which he thought was true, but turns out is not, she submitted an original work). So Willa's all, "Ah-Ha!" and tells her dad since the submission has to be an original work. It leads to a big fight between the two, particularly since Willa is using the whole deal to put the moves on Lonelyboy.

Little J continues to put the moves on Nate and secretly sabotaging he and Serena's relationship, but it doesn't work, particularly when its revealed she lied about Serena calling and Serena reveals the whole sick mother thing. In any case, Chuck did help her out, because he wants Nate back, and he can't corrupt him back to the dark side if he was still going out with Serena. Anyways, while Blair is the better Queen Bitch, I think I like Jenny as Kathryn to Chuck's Sebastian a little better. Mostly because they're sorta step-siblings, and it makes the whole thing more taboo and squicky. I mean, honestly, there was nothing wrong with Blair going out with Chuck. Now, Jenny and Chuck doing Cruel Intentions-ish things would be more fun and deviant. Like when Chuck was advising little J on how to get to Nate, it had the right mix of evil and creepy.

Speaking of Blair, not much Dair in this ep, other than running to Dan for help. Seriously, I'm amused that despite their supposed hate of each other, when they need something done, they're the first person the other goes to. I mean, there's a weird implicit trust there- she knows Chuck can be evil and manipulative, and Nate and Serena can be too self-involved, and unlike Dan, V really does hate her, but Dan seems to be someone she can rely on. Conversely, I think Dan realizes Vanessa is even more judgmental than he is, and while Blair is from a different world, she is at least pragmatic, so I think he feels he can go to her when he needs to get something done. I think of the UES-ers, he can trust her the most- Chuck would stab him in the back in a heartbeat, and Nate and S are kinda morons. But yeah, despite their differences, they are totally willing to help each other out. I think the writers are missing out if they don't explore this ship- they've paired everyone else off they can- Dan's been with both V and S, Nate and Chuck have both been with B and V, and as for Serena, Nate has been with her, and Chuck tried to, though they can't really now since they were step-siblings for a good portion of the show. Its time to give Dair a try!

24- Hmm, there's 5 hours left? Though the way things are going, it seems like there has to be another big twist coming, because this current crisis is coming to a head. President Taylor continues to let Logan be the devil whispering in her ear. Heh, its like his words coming out of her mouth. But Ethan can't be a party to this, so he's quitting her. It seemed like he held out hope that she would change her mind there at the end, but she didn't. He has a point though- even if these peace talks go through, it'll be smashed to bits once the truth gets out. I mean, helping kill Hassan and providing nuclear materials, that's not something you can just cover up, that's a big friggin deal.

For once, Chloe stands up to Jack (is it because she's boss now?) and pretends to help him in the hopes of capturing him. But for some reason Jack knew this would be the one time she doesn't actually help him, and it was just all an operation to recruit Cole to his side?

Anyways, Dominic from Dollhouse gets to do more, but I'm surprised his character was a little iffy on the whole DB Sweeney killing Starbuck after they tortured the info they need from her. Like when they introduced him, he seemed to be Logan's "get things done" lackey. It seems odd that he would be hesitant about that- its like they just ordered her removed from CTU by declaring her an "enemy combatant" and knew the PMCs were gonna torture her, he feels bad that they're going to kill her afterward?

But yeah, DB Sweeney is once again playing an evil PMC, and Michael Madsen is playing some mysterious contact of Jack's we haven't heard about all this time until now. I'm curious if he's an ex field agent who went private, or a bad guy that Jack has in his pocket?

But yeah, with the press conference and Jack and Cole getting to Starbuck by next ep, once they have her, then what's left to do for the other 5 hours? It seem like they'll either reveal the truth or they won't, I'm not sure they can stretch trying to get her somewhere to let the truth out.
