Lost- Wow, pretty amazing ep tonight.
Sideways reality: Hurley is a millionaire philanthropist, but currently unattached (there's no gold-diggers going after him?). So his mother set him up with the daughter of a friend (interesting, no Cheech there, so is it they just couldn't get him for the ep, or his father didn't come back into his life), but she ends up standing him up. Really?! Even though Hurley is insanely rich?! I call shenanigans!
Anyways, who does show up? Libby? Who seems to have memories of the original reality and they hit it off, but then Hurley discovers she's out on a field trip from the Santa Rosa mental institution! He gets all depressed that this cool chick that seems to like him is a nutcase, so he goes to one of his chicken shacks and scarfs down a bucket of chicken. He meets Desmond, who acts like he's just happened to bump into him, who tells him to go for it. So, Hurley goes to the institution and does, and they go out on a date (since she's only in there voluntarily) at the beach. Hurley still doesn't remember his old life, but once they kiss, memories start flooding back. He's all "Woah!" while Desmond looks on from the parking lot, happy he's opened Hurley's eye.
Anyways, next time we see Desmond in his silver Beemer (which oddly has different plates from when he was watching at the beach, I wonder if its intentional, or a weird continuity error?), he's at the school where Ben, Locke, and Arzt work. Since he's hanging out there kinda creepily, Ben questions him (hey, he's gotta protect his Alex!) and Desmond lies that he's just moved there and he's looking for a school for his son Charlie. Satisfied with his answer, Ben walks away. Then Desmond spots Locke wheeling away.... then runs him down!! WTF!?
Original Reality: Hurley's visiting Libby's grave, sad that of all the ghosts he sees, he never sees her. Michael shows up, and obviously things are tense given he was the one who killed Libby. Anyways, Mike chastises him about the whole blowing up the plane plan, and its gonna get everyone killed. I think Hurley has juice now, but he's still not confident enough to get people to listen to him, so he's doing too much deferring and not a lot of leading. Anyways, he's not too keen on the blowing up the plane plan, but Ilana's all, Richard says this is what they need to do. Anyways, Ilana pulls an Arzt and gets blowed up.
The gang considers that maybe this isn't a good idea then, but Richard insists. Hurley is all, "no, Richard is right!" and they head to the Black Rock to get more dynamite. Only Hurley gets there first and blows it all up. Richard is pissed, and they have a confrontation. Hurley bluffs that he's getting his orders directly from Jacob, but Richard thinks he's lying. So, he says he's going back to New Otherton to get grenades and other weapons to destroy the plane. Miles and Ben side with him, but Jack, Sun, and Frank side with Hurley.
Hurley takes them to see Faucke, and on the way there, they hear the voices. It turns out, the voices are the ghosts of people trapped there, like Michael. Mike says they can't move on because of what they did in life. Interesting, so is that why he doesn't see Libby, because she was an innocent bystander who didn't really do anything bad like the rest of them? Anyways, Michael points them to the camp. Along the way, Hurley admits to Jack he doesn't know what he's doing, but Jack gives him a pep talk. Jack blames himself for Juliet's death, and being the consummate fixer, he's always wanting to make up for what he perceives are his mistakes. But what he's come to learn that is he needs to let go and let someone else takes the reigns for once, and he trusts Hurley to do that.
Oh, before they meet up, Sayid brings Desmond back, but he and Locke keep him being back a secret from everyone else. Bocaj takes Desmond to one of the wells built above those pockets of EM energy, and throws him down it! When he returns, Hurley shows up wanting to talk. Sawyer "son of a bitches", and Kate's all happy that her other bf is here. And now the Man in Black has all of the candidates (save for Jin), plus a pilot for the plane! I feel sad for Sun though, because she was hoping to see Jin, and is disappointed he's not there, since he got captured by Widmore and his people.
Glee- Finally, this show is back! So, interesting, Sue is not gone, she roofies principal Figgins and takes a compromising picture of them to blackmail him into getting back her coaching the cheerios job. Meanwhile, the gleeks were hoping the win would increase their social standing, but nope, they're still getting slushied. Will and Emma are dating, as are Finn and Rachel, though Finn acts as if she basically was all, "we're bf and gf now" and he never bothered correcting her. Looks like Puck and Quinn are together too. Anyways, Will's first attempt to get the kids ready for regionals is to get the kids to come up with "Hello" themed songs.
Meanwhile, Sue's plan of attack, separate Rachel from the club by getting Britanna to steal Finn away from her. It kinda works, though while he's just not into them (other than in a purely physical way), he's still a wishy washy douche who cares more about his popularity, so he dumps poor Rachel. What an a-hole! Seriously, I'm not actually into them as a couple, he's just pulled so many stunts like this, why the hell should Rachel be with him.
She chastises him in song in front of the club (All-American Rejects' "Give You Hell", she was focusing on the "hell" part of Hello), and Will is a little mad because he doesn't feel the Glee club is taking things seriously. Rachel goes to the local library (or something, some weird place that has a piano for people to play, but also books and song sheets and stuff) to cheer herself up, and she meets Jesse St James, the lead singer for Vocal Adrenaline. He's hilariously douchey and full of himself, but they hit it off, doing a nice duet of Hello.
Finn "realizes" his mistake and tries to get Rachel back, but she says she's found someone who likes her for who she is and isn't ashamed of her. When he finds out its Jesse St. James he tells Schue, and Britanna find out and inform the rest of the club. The club is all, dump him or we're kicking you out, which I think is a huge bluff despite them being all "everyone is replacable". Yeah right, good look winning without her. Now, I can understand their mistrust, but those little a-holes could've been nicer about it, rather than going straight with the threats. I dunno if they think that's the only way to get through to Rachel, but I feel it was done in a very dickish way. And its odd that Rachel is the one with the big star dreams, but when it comes to love or friendship, she'll actually pick those over Glee, while the rest of them are willing to lie (like covering up the Quinn/Puck stuff) if they think its "best" for the club. I guess its because half the time they seem like they could care less about the club and its only Rachel who's passionate about it, but then they're the ones willing to be sneaky and underhanded to put the club on top.
Will goes to see Vocal Adrenaline to make sure its not a trick, and their director Shelby (played by Idina Menzel!) insists it isn't. And then they make out! WTF?! And as some people said, its slightly creepy, since she looks like a grown up version of Rachel. But what the hell Schue? Anyways, things seem to be going well, though Emma is wanting to take it ultra slow since she's a virgin. Will doesn't seem to mind, but obviously he's having deep seated issues from the recent break up with Terri and the quick together with Emma.
Emma remains blissfully unaware of Will's indiscretion. But when Emma tries to make him a surprise dinner and she ends up having a talk with Terri (who dropped by to pick back up her DVDs of Bad Boys and Armageddon) who illuminates her on Will's issues. Particularly since "Hello" was actually she and Will's junior prom song. Emma realizes Will's basically been with Terri since they were kids, and now he's with Emma, and he doesn't know how to define himself outside of a relationship. So Emma insists Will get some alone time, because he's too understanding. He put Terri in front of himself when they were together, and it ruined them, and Emma's worried him accepting her brand of crazy will lead down the same path. So she wants Will to find himself first. Which is a brave and mature thing for her to do.
As for Rachel and Jessie, she caves, but only publicly, she wants to still see him in secret. But! It looks like he is only seeing her under Shelby's orders for some nefarious reasons. But since Finn thinks she's available, he does his wishy-wahsy thing that messes with Rachel's head where he's all, he misses her and he wants to be there for her. So she ends the ep sad and confused. Man, for someone who's supposed to be the nice guy, he really messes with Rachel.
90210- Where to begin? So, Naomi actually has a crisis of conscience and tells the truth, what with the teacher being all sad faced, "Why are you ruining my life?" So Liam leaves her (not sure if he's taking some time or if they're broken up), and Naomi's a social pariah. Actually, one girl is sticking with her, Annie. She was thinking now that the Jasper thing was done, she can go back to being normal, but after taking a joyride with Silver through the exact road where the hit and run happened, she starts having nightmares and PTSD. She understands the whole something bad happening and trying to cover it up then it spiraling out of control, so it looks like the two of them are friends again.
Meanwhile, in the aftermath of all this, Ivy makes a play for Liam, but he's not having it. Dixon (who's starting to get the gambling bug and falling into the hole with Teddy's bookie, though I'm wondering if Teddy is protecting him and not actually putting these bets together, so he only thinks he's in the hole) who's falling for Ivy attempts to cheer her up by asking if her if she wants to go out for real. She seems willing.
As for Liam, he moves back home, to find his dad (Luke Danes!) waiting for him. Apparently he just got out of prison and wants to see him.
Ade breaks it to the band about her new found singing career, but she tells Navid first, which gets them into hot water with their SOs. I'm not sure if her band can be too pissed. I mean, it sucks for them, but she did like one gig with them and has been with them for less than a month? Navid is able to salvage things with Lila by recreating cotillion. As for Gia, she gets all pissy, not wanting to go to some industry party Ivy's mom wants Ade to go to. Ade thinks she has to. At the party, when Ivy's mom is wondering why Adrianna's looking so mopey, and she tells her about the fight with Gia. Ivy's mom is all, "What are you doing here then!" and advises her on how she has to push back against her producers and agents and what have you and do what's right for her, lest the industry take control of her life and crush her.
So, she does. Only the big-faced bitch cheated on her with Ashley from SotN. But, thankfully, she doesn't go into a drug binge, she channels the hurt into song writing, and she and Navid end the ep hanging out and her showing him her song. Heh, wonder what Lila's gonna think about that. And I'm kinda curious if the date was over, or he was supposed to be only picking up something at that coffee shop or whatever where he bumped into A and just blew Lila off. And wait, so is A's lesbo phase over?!
Finally, Matthews tries some pot with Ivy's mom and hangs with her at the industry party, and he's all pissed because while she said Ivy wouldn't be there, she failed to mention Dixon was DJ-ing and Ade would be around to meet people from the biz. So he's all embarrassed and the storyline is ridiculous.
