TV commentary:

Human Target- Do you know what's getting played out on these kinda shows? Where they start the story in the middle, and do the "24 hours earlier" or what have you thing. Also, delving into the world of illegal underground fighting. Hey, I like people beating the crap out of each other as much as the next guy, but its getting to the point where every show seems to have at least one ep like this, and then the people are all, "Underground fighting, what's that?" as if the audience hasn't figured it out from the other dozens of shows that have had the same plot.

Also, the ep relied too much on people conveniently being old friends of Winston or Guerrero. Its kinda cheating when that's how they get around a problem.

90210- Actually, this ep had me thinking, how many people who learn to dance cotillion remember it beyond the one party they have to do it for? It seems like you learn it once, there's really only one big party you use it at, and then you never use it again. I mean, that's the way it was for me, I don't even think I could remember how to dance that anymore. Or square dancing. Speaking of, why the hell did you have to learn that in gym class? Or at least we did up North. Because when I came down south, people were all, "Square dancing for gym, that's crazy!"

Anyhoo, onto the actual ep. So, Dixon's mom shows up, and since she didn't know Annie and Dix going off to see her was a big secret, she acts all familiar with Annie so of course Debbie and Harry are all, "How the hell do you guys know each other!?" They have an awkward dinner since Debbie is all threatened, and Dixon's mom is acting all truculent when Dixon brings up old stories because she's embarrassed and worried his new parents will think she was such a bad mom back in the day. But then Dixon and his mom manage to work things out after she explains that to him, and she somehow manages to get him hooked on online gambling just by mentioning she had a little money riding on some game. Well, he's not yet, but you know him just visiting one of those sites will lead to that.

Debbie still feels threatened though, and Yoga instructor is all "you have a right to feel threatened!" so when Harry is all, "things are cool, you have no need to feel threatened!" she lambastes him for always diminishing how she feels.

Silver and Teddy are trying the couple thing, but she gets freaked out by all the girls throwing themselves at him, and of course talking to Naomi makes it so much worse. She spies an e-mail from some chick asking to meet him, so they send Gia to spy on him. Since when are they friends? I guess she's friends with Adrianna now, but still, it was kinda weird of them to ask her. Anyways, Teddy goes to see the girl, but only to tell her he's with Silver now. But, Silver can't be content with him keeping faithful since she feels guilty about the whole spying thing. So she fesses up, and Teddy obviously gets mad and needs some space.

Speaking of Gia, even though her crush on Ade is totally obvious, A is oblivious. Adrianna also sings Jolene in the car, so Gia is all, you sing so great, join this convenient band of rocker girls who go to our school! Also, Navid is back, and the guys zero in on his vendetta against Jasper was really just due to lingering feelings for Ade. So, he basically throws himself at Lila, that one chick who kinda looked exactly like Gia, but wasn't. They go on a date, find out they were Cotillion partners back when they were kids, and seal the date with a kiss. Which Ade sees and gets all upset.

So, she takes up Gia's recommendation to try out for this band, and of course she gets in, because she does have a pretty good voice. But ha, who ends up being the bassist, but Lila! So Ade freaks out, thinking she can't go through with it having to see Lila every day possibly getting with Navid in front of her. So, Gia tries to calm her down by being all, "My crush is on you, stupid!" Ade is... intrigued.

On the Jasper/Annie front, he continues to stalk her, going as far as to steal Dixon's car and stripping it, thus getting rid of the only evidence linking her to his uncle's death. So, she's starting to realize its not over and while they're not together anymore, he's obviously trying to be her "guardian angel" and parlay that into getting back together.
