Vampire Diaries- Okay, caught up to the latest episode. What's with the constant twisting involving Katherine? First, they think she and the other vamps burned to death in the church back in the 1860s. Then they found out they were really still alive, but sealed in a tomb beneath it by Bonnie's ancestor Emily. And in this latest ep, we find out Katherine was never there at all, and she's been out this whole time, hiding from the Salvatore brothers?! What the?! And while Kelly Hu is hot and all, I'm still skeptical about an Asian shop owner in 1860s Virginia!
Oh, and the whole thing with Alaric saying Isobel's body was never found. Gee, I wonder if she's a vampire now?! Like they'd hire Mia Kirshner just for Alaric's flashbacks!
Smallville- Heh, so Clark can heal the Kandorians by giving them his blood? And now unbeknown to Clark, Zod has super powers. So, instead of the solar tower turning the sun red and taking away Clark's powers while giving Zod and the Kandorians powers, now Clark has shown them how to get powers like his under a yellow sun. So now they're on an even keel. Well, except that Chloe has invested in a crapload of kryptonite weapons to fight them just in case.
Caprica- Interesting developments this ep! Finally, this show is getting egg-citing! So, Daniel faces a possible ousting because of his declaration to make the holoband free. But he comes in, declares it a sinking ship, and that he has the future- Cylons! Yep, he brings the Zoey-bot to the meeting. Though unlike most such scenes in movies, it does not go crazy and kill someone. Actually, I feel a little sorry for Zoey here, she actually looks happy to be helping her dad. Well, until the part of his speech where he says Cylons will be the perfect workers, doing anything you command, and tells Zoey to rip her arm off. Which she does. Fortunately, we do not see the human version of her do that.
But heh, I guess we get the start of the cause of the human-cylon war. It is pretty messed up that he talks about creating a new, sentient life form.... and enslaving it.
Meanwhile, the Adamas have a row, then do some weird Tauron stuff to fix their emotional problems. To me, their part of the story doesn't get exciting until the end, when Tamara's new v-world friend shows up.
And what's that about?! So Tamara has been wandering v-world trying to get out. She seeks help from some big-wig gamer who thinks she's some weird noob, so the lady shoots Tamara to "get her out", only she doesn't de-rez, which freaks them all out since that's impossible. They think she's a myth, like someone who slipped into a coma while on the holo band, and got stuck there.
So the lady makes a deal with her- they'll get her out if she helps them win "The Game". Which whenever they talk about the game, makes me think of this. But really, its called "New Cap City". Well, they don't know how one wins it, but they think robbing this one guy helps, because he's the richest guy in the game and money equals points. So basically, she gets shot a bunch at first, cries like the girl she is, while people stare perplexed at how she's not dead, distracting them for her new V-world boyfriend. But as time goes on we see she's gone all Neo, able to dismiss hostile programs with but a gesture. And when the lady double crosses her, well, I don't know if double cross is accurate, she basically tells her they found out who she is, and she's dead, so they have no idea to wake her up, so instead she should let them continue to use her for their ends. But anyways, by that point, she's turned all bad-ass, quickly taking out all of them and telling her new V-world boyfriend to disconnect and tell her father about her.
Which he does! Joe is understandably freaked, and demands the guy take him to her, but he runs off. But Joe finally knows her cylon copy still alive. Heh, and right after they did that Tauron rite to finally accept her and her mom's death!
In the end, Tamara stalks the New Cap streets. Wonder how long until she takes it over, or if she already has?
