Chuck- This week's ep was a little bit of a letdown from the setup last week. Mostly because it was a little nonsensical. So, after the end of last ep, Chuck and Sarah just didn't tell Ellie anything? And why wouldn't Angie Harmon have anyone watching Cpt. Awesome? So she just gives him the phone and lets him go and leaves him on his merry way? So why would he do anything for her once she let him go?
Dunno how I feel about Superman. I am curious about his backstory. Obviously the ring and his speech means he used to love a girl, but then gave it all up to be a spy?
Life Unexpected- This is a cute new show, I enjoyed it. So Cate and Baze were the nerd girl and the popular jock who slept together after Winter Formal, and he ignored her afterward since they didn't run in the same circles, so he didn't know she got knocked up, and she somehow managed to hide the pregnancy from him and give the kid up for adoption? He seems like a guy who's been around, how did he know Cate was Lux's mom? I guess even though he was Mr. Popular, she was the only one he slept with that corresponds with her age?
It is interesting how things worked out. I mean, stories like that, the teen parents are all they gave the kid up because they'll be adopted by someone who can provide in a way they can't. And that's what Cate thought, but she didn't know Lux had a condition which prevented her from being well until 3, and by then no one wanted to adopt her and she's been kicked around in foster care ever since. Hopefully she wasn't actually abused, because she did make that off hand comment about foster dads hitting on her. But it sounds like she was pretty miserable. And okay, I did think it was kinda nice that Cate unknowingly got her through it by virtue of being on the radio, and Lux had no idea her favorite thing to listen to, that picked her up when she was feeling down, was her mom. Its kinda kismet.
Anyways, Lux didn't get legally emancipated, though I can't see how she thought she would even if she got her birth parents signatures. But it looks like she might get the family she wanted with her birth parents, even though they're not together. I guess that'll end up being a triangle, Cate, Baze and Ryan? It seems like he's still willing to marry Cate, even after the Lux reveal. Though I wonder how he would feel if he knew the night before she decided to take back her rejection of his proposal, that she frakked Baze. Actually, I wasn't sure if Lux figured since Cate was coming out of Baze's so early that she caught her mom doing the walk of shame.
