TV commentary
American Dad- just thought I'd mention that even though the ep was kinda blasphemous, it was also pretty bad-ass.
Dexter- Woah! Talk about an insane season finale! So, the police find out who the real Trinity is, as well as the fact that he's not a Trinity killer, but a Quar-whatever the hell means four killer. Of course, now the feebs believe in his existence and take over the case.
Also discovered? The true identity of Dex's mother and how the Ice Truck Killer is his brother! Deb manages to find this out, but much to Dex's relief/surprise, she doesn't figure out he's a serial killer. For his part, Dex plays the victim all, "OMG, he was my brother? He must've gone after you because of that!" But he also uses it as an opportunity to cheer his sister up all, "See, its not your fault, its mine, you can stop beating yourself up for dating a serial killer!"
But holy crap, Dex manages to FINALLY kill off Trinity, but apparently not before Trinity kills Rita in the bathtub! I did not see that coming! Well, that the season was going to end that way. Once Dex came home and heard that message from Rita, it was totally obvious she was toast.
How the hell does that bode for next season? And not just how Dex is going to take care of Cody and Astor and Harrison and do the single dad thing while still be able to kill. I mean, they all of a sudden introduce Paul's parents (well, we don't actually meet them, but Rita just mentioned them out of the blue an ep or two ago), so they'll probably help. But won't the cops be all, "Why did Trinity kill your wife?"
And that should bring up a whole set of questions! Batista might remember Dex talking to Arthur at the station once they get a picture of him from his family. Also, when they interview the Mitchells, they might figure out Dex coming around as Kyle, and why he was doing that. In any case I'm kinda curious how he won't be in deep shit when next season rolls around.
