Gossip Girl- What the?! Chuck's mom is alive?! I had a sinking feeling they were going there when they mentioned Bart wouldn't let Chuck visit her grave when he was a kid. What the hell though, I thought she died giving birth to Charles, which I thought was one of the reasons they gave in the beginning for his father disliking him? So what the hell would've happened that he just told her to leave and act as if she was dead all these years? And of all the days to secretly visit him, she chooses then? I mean, I guess its his anniversary, and its for the purposes of the plot, but that's rather convenient that Chuck showed up just at the right time to see her.
Heh, so Dan tells V he loves her again, but she thinks its just his emotions getting the better of him because Serena was in the hospital and he didn't really mean it. I still don't get last week why her mom was all, "Don't tell her, because you'll hurt her again!" The first time he told her, didn't she like reject him and move away? And now this? I think he should have been more worried about getting hurt himself! Eh, they'd be a totally obnoxious couple anyways! Bring on the Dair!
Despite the little interaction they have on the show, whenever Dan and Blair do interact, its always good. I mean, despite them being mostly frenemies, reluctantly together because of their mutual friends, they tend to run to each other when they need help. They definitely know a lot about each other, and are surprisingly considerate of each other when it really counts. I suppose during the chain of phone calls Lily might've told Dan to get Blair, but she wouldn't have known he was in the dorms. But he knows how much Blair cares for S, so he went to her immediately and let her know because he knows she would want to know. I still think they would make for a very interesting couple, and it would suck if the show never saw where such a pairing would go.
Owel, also surprising was the reveal still with that drug dealer ambassador's kid. Well, that and how easily she and Eric called a truce. I guess they realized its the holidays and they were in the hospital because Serena had gotten hurt and that put things in perspective for them. I'm fine with her being a benevolent despot, but if she's a drug dealer now, that's kinda insane! Especially if she began selling at school.
