So at the student center, a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit is around $3 at Chik-Fil-A, whereas like 50 feet down at Dunkin Donuts its $3.59. Its not like one is known to be better than the other, so why would you buy the more expensive one?
TV commentary:
Glee- Ah, this weeks weekly Glee itunes offerings are indeed the mashups, "Its My Life/Confessions Part 2" that I mentioned yesterday, and the song I couldn't remember being paired with "Walking On Sunshine" was Beyonce's "Halo". Having heard the full release versions of both, I still think the boys' mash-up is superior. And I'm not saying that because of a Bon Jovi bias (hey, they have some pretty kick-ass songs to sing along to, particularly "Livin' On A Prayer"!), I think its a better blend of the two songs. Whereas in the girls' mashup, they just do a verse of Halo, and when it gets to the chorus, they mix in the chorus of "Walking on Sunshine" in the background, and vice-versa. But when they do that transition from "Halo" to "Walking On Sunshine" its a little jarring because its a different beat. The way they do "Its My Life" and "Confessions Pt. 2" just matches better.
House- Whoa, this was a shocking ep. Heh, you know its a crazy ep when House doing a Dexter impression (I know Dexter doesn't have a monopoly on hiding in someone's apartment and then all of a sudden injecting a syringe into their neck, but the similarities were uncanny) isn't the most unlawful thing in the ep. But wait, all that was needed to fix the guy was to do some mirror trick so he could unclench his phantom limb?!
Again, the hospital shows its lax security when yet another gunman is allowed to sneak in and try and shoot someone. But anyways, in regards to Darth Mufasa Doom, as soon as he was all, "Have the guts and kill me!" to Cameron, I figured Chase would try and kill the guy. I'm surprised he was actually successful. But its like s4 Angel when Fred was gonna banish the guy who sent her to Plyea to a hell dimension, but then Gunn stopped her only to kill the guy himself so she wouldn't have to "carry that darkness!" I always thought that was a stupid reason to kill someone (and I suppose my sociopathy is coming through when I make it sound like there's not a stupid reason to kill someone), not to protect some girl from some dangerous person, but to protect her from herself- they want to kill the person so badly for some wrong they committed that you kill the person so they won't. I mean, if you hate the person the same amount yourself, then go with that, don't put it on some loved one all, "I'm doing this so you don't!" And anyways, in the end, they'll either resent you for it, for a) taking at away from them or b) because you're a murderer who killed somebody in cold blood, or they'll be cool with it, and that's prolly an indication they're not normal, and do you really want someone who is cool with you murdering people for them?
But how has he not frakked them all? I mean, either its murder, or gross incompetence, and he's a friggin dictator of a small nation, wouldn't that be an international incident if it was found out?
Oh, and is Taub gone for good? Unless he's in the actual opening credits, only Olivia Wilde's name was listed under the "also starring" part in the ep.
Gossip Girl- What the hell was up with this ep? Like who doesn't recognize super-famous actresses who've supposedly starred in a billion dollar movie franchise? And even if one of your friends doesn't tell you she's super famous because he doesn't want to salt your game, surely when your best friend became her college roommate, or your ex-gf/soon to be step-sister helped her out with the paparazzi, it woulda come up. And is it me, or was Lizzy Mcguire spouting stuff that sounded suspiciously like Hannah Montana dialogue? She wants the best of both worlds?
I understand Blair's and Jenny's plots, but did it have to be done so strangely? I mean, Chuck taking Jenny to the premiere? Yeah, she was semi-cool with him the end of last season that she was fine with him living under the same roof, even though HE TRIED TO RAPE HER IN THE FIRST EP OF THE SHOW. But actually doing things together and him giving her pep talks? That just seemed OOC for both of them? I don't think her being all Queen B like in the end was out of nowhere, I think its supposed to signify that she realizes her attempt to just abolish the system wouldn't work, and decided to work from the inside. She can't be all nice about it though, because then her minions wouldn't respect her, would attempt another mutiny. So she has to give them what they're used to, then slowly wean them off and mold them into people not as horrible as Blair's old gang.
