Things we take notice of
Oct. 5th, 2009 12:46 pmYou know, last night's Family Guy brought to my attention that I don't actually have Billy Ocean's "Suddenly" on my ipod. (Though I do have "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car", which always amuses me because of that one time A drove me, B, and
psyched_out in her old Aerostar to one of my spag-fac b-day dinners back in college, and the song came on the radio and we all sang along) Though I guess the thing with "Suddenly" is I never intentionally sing it. I can't remember which one, but there's this Lionel Richie song I'll sometimes sing, but then for the chorus I accidentally start doing the Billy Ocean song.

Curb Your Enthusiasm- I'm kinda curious about the developments in this one. So is this gonna be the theme of this season, the Seinfeld reunion? And who said Michael Richards' career was finished? I'm a little skeptical though, with how terrible NBC is doing in the ratings, like if Larry David really cursed that guy out, that he's say, "Well, screw this project then!" Yeah right, they'd turn down a Seinfeld reunion?
But as everyone was saying, I don't know if I'd buy a storyline where George gets married and divorced and is trying to win his wife back. That just doesn't sound very George.
Glee- Have I said before the reason I prolly like this show so much is that it combines two of my favorite genres, teen dramas and musicals? Oh, but saw this spoiler clip in
gleeclub. The boys doing a mashup of "Its My Life" by Bon Jovi and Usher's "Confessions". Awesome, you know how much I love mash ups. But ha, Finn looks so goofy there in the beginning. But hey, Artie finally gets his own solo (given his solo in "Somebody to Love" last week were cut out) And the Asian dude has got some moves. I guess he's the Brittany of the boys side, a professional dancer thrown in to give the Glee Club some moves (I wonder if that was on purpose that Brittany was there with Kurt and Tina doing the "All the Single Ladies" dance and then performed with Beyonce at the MTV music video awards or whatever the hell award show that was. I guess it would have to be).
Anyways, I had heard clips earlier in the summer of the mashup songs the boys and girls were doing for this ep. The links have long since turned defunct, but I do remember liking the guys' song better than the girls one. I can't remember what the girls mashed up. "Walking On Sunshine" was one of them.
But heh, I was saying the other day, who would ship Rack, but the most interesting Glee stories I've read on fanfiction.net were Rachel/Puck stories. I'd feel much better about it if they had more interaction beyond the slushies to the face. But there's a spoiler pic going around with Puck getting slushied, but you can see he and Rachel were arm in arm. So if they do team up to make Quinn and Finn (their name sucks for a portmanteau since they end the same way!) jealous, that would be interesting. Because a square is always more fun than a triangle. In any case, then there's at least a basis for Rachel and Puck.
