Ugh! Went to trivia tonight and lost!! How embarassing. Oh well. You win some, you lose some. And Bill and Joseph are still blind. The tall waitress is pretty cute, but nowhere near as hot as the short waitress. I mean, have they seen the shorter waitress? Yowza.

WTF?! The WWE Divas Undressed special was rescheduled to Saturday! I was hoping to see a scantily clad Stacy Kiebler! But I guess its all good, since I would've ended up missing half an hour. They're showing Robocop right now. I actually haven't seen the flick in its entirety since that first time when I was a kid. I remember the ED-209 giving me nightmares. And Robocop shooting the guy in the nuts and him yelling "It hurts! It hurts!" Its a pretty violent movie for a kid, even by my standards!

Perhaps, but ida know. There was a name this song I'm playing question that I think you might have gotten. Then again, I forget what the answer was, but it was one of those Goo Goo Dolls sounding bands, so mebbe you wouldn't. We were in third place (out of four teams) going into the finals, but everyone else but us got the final question, "how is encephalitis spread?". So if you definitely knew the answer (because everyone else bid 20 and if you weren't sure we prolly wouldn't have bid the amount we needed to win) that would've made a difference. Actually, you might have known the answer to the Simpson's question. Where did the first Itchy and Scratchy take place? (On a boat) The ones we got wrong off the top of my head where: What is the major currency used by Jamaica? (we said pound, it was dollar) Of Sandra Bullock, Demi Moore, Cher, and Julia Roberts, which one had surgery to removed their cross-eyedness? The milk of which of the following was used to make mozzarella cheese, sheep, goat, cow, or ox? Who wrote Room with a View? Who wrote the Counterfeiters?

The answers to the crosseyedness, muttserella, and Room with a View are respectively: Demi Moore, Ox, and Forrester. I don't recall the answer to the last one. Also, we only got 2 out of 4 each in name the 4 longest running musicals and name the first 4 teams to win the world series? For the first, we got Cats and A Chorus Line. We missed "O, Calcutta!", and Bill didn't want to believe Les Mis was long running. He thought they all had to be old. For the second, we got NY Giants and Chicago Cubs. We contemplated putting down Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox as the other two, but Bill was skeptical about that. And it turns out those were the other two! Oh well. So if you knew the answers to some of those, we prolly would've had a shot. We needed 23 points to get third, so who knows?

well, it may be misleading since i can see how its spelled, but i might have had a chance with encephalitis. and yeah, the first itchy & scratchy was a parody of the first mickey mouse cartoon ("steamboat willie"), called "steamboat itchie". it wasn't the first itchy & scratchy cartoon they ever showed on the actual show, but in the fiction of the simpsons it was the first cartoon. possibly misleading...i wouldn't have known anything else, though--maybe i would have guessed "les miserables", but if bill would have vetoed it i wouldn't have made a difference. "o, calcutta" makes sense but it wouldn't have come to my mind...oh well, not much difference between 3rd and sub-3rd when its a party of 6 sharing the goods...

Yeah $10 for six isn't too great. Its just embarassing since we were the only losers. The Jamaica question was bad, because it was one of the bonus questions, and we bet the max because we were so sure, so we ended up only earning 5 points in the second round. Argh!! You're right aboot the Itchy and Scratchy one! How could I not remember that, Steamboat Willy parody! Of course!! We did get the "name the first names of the lone gunmen". I remember Frohike's was Melvin. So it was just a matter of eliminating the non melvin choices. Krug was sure another was John. So that left us with John, Ringo, and Melvin, which was right! I think its John Byers, Ringo Langley, and Melvin Frohike? Yes, IMDB confirms. Not bad, I didn't think I knew that much about the X-Files.
