I swear, sometimes the dream world can seem too real. Today, the comcast guy was coming over to install one of those DTA boxes so I can watch TV in my room again. So he rings the bell, and I get out of bed, but its an odd struggle to get to my bedroom door, and then I couldn't open it. Then I realized its because I'm still in bed and asleep, and the guy is still knocking. Fortunately, the second time I got up was for real, because apparently the guy is installing a bunch of those today and was kinda in a rush. In any case, its not the first time I thought I woke up and got up and actually didn't. cliffV('What's up with that?!') I mean, who dreams of waking up and doing something mundane?

One thing I keep forgetting to rant about:

Button Flys- Who thinks these are a good idea? Yeah, some people are all, "Its better than having a bunched of jagged metal teeth near your genitals", but they're so annoying to have to do and undo!

Cool, Dead Fantasy IV is up on gametrailers now:

Like DFIII, the main action stuff was already shown at Fanime 2009, and the new stuff was minimal.

So watching the second part of the Torchwood mini, I was getting frustrated that I had to keep rewinding it to understand some of what they were saying! Like it took me three times to parse that Gwen was saying "up the creek without a paddle", and I'm still not sure what the hell Rhys said in response. Aren't they supposed to be speaking English?! I wonder, do people in the UK ever have that problem with American shows, not understanding certain things because they're "American-accented"?

Button fly--I rather like 'em. I've never had a pair that I wore to exhaustion, so I don't know, but I rather wonder if they're more durable than zippers. I've had a lot of zippers break, and that always makes me sad.

I had one pair of button fly jeans once, I'm sure, but I can't remember what happened to it. Huh. Now that's going to bother me for days.

See, for me, its a bathroom thing. Girls have to undo it all to use the toilet anyways, but when you're used to the quickness of the zipper at the urinal, its takes a little longer/is slightly more awkward to try to undo those buttons while standing there.

Heh, I've only bought them by accident.

...don't you try clothes on before you buy them?

Not really, I know my sizes- size m shirts, 34W/30L pants. If I see something that catches my eye, I'll grab the appropriate size, but I sometimes forget to check the fly.

Yeah, but when clothes pieces are mass-punched in huge machines, slight differences in pressure or texture or sharpness of the punch can lead to one layer being smaller/larger than the other. I've tried on pants where one leg was a different size than the other, even. I know what size I wear, but I'm still gonna try clothes on before I pay anything more than about $5 for 'em.

And hey, that saves me from being surprised by the button fly ;)
