Saw Bruno today with
clevemire. I think the most interesting part of these movies is figuring out what's staged and what's for real. Well, for real in that the people are reacting legitimately, as opposed to a faked situation. I mean, some of the things that happen are so outrageous, you can't believe they're for real- like the showbiz parents. I mean, showbiz parents are crazy, but surely they're not this insane. Like the Richard Bey audience (who I hear weren't in on things, though Richard Bey was), they were appalled with Bruno and the baby, but there were a couple things those showbiz parents were willing to agree to that were just as appalling.
But yeah, some of the things in the Middle East and in the South, its like, how was he not killed? Like the end, those people seemed quite disgusted and irate, I don't think you can fake those kinda reactions, but at the same time, I'm guessing they must've had some pretty good security to prevent things from getting out of hand. But yeah, like the Orthodox Jew thing was kinda weird, he must've been legitimately running for his life, because otherwise that whole scene seemed out of nowhere- why would they chase him?
