Owel, I'm back in the capital of the southeast, good old Atlanta. I had a great time in NY. Gammy's b-day party was interesting. It was at a Marriot. There was no open bar! What kind of catholic celebration was this?! Of course, that didn't stop me from making a drunken ass out of myself! I was sitting with [livejournal.com profile] isabel79, Kitty, Aaron, Domino, Theresa, Jennie (pronounced Jeanie, what's up with that?!), Kristen, Zach and Aures. Aures, Rosie, Aaron and Zach were getting drinks from the bar, so I was all, "Oh, why not?!" It'll help loosen things up. So I had a few "roman" cokes. It wasn't like last time when Uncle Caesar kept getting pitchers of beer for us, so I didn't get too stupid. But I was singing out loud along with most of the songs the DJ was playing. Especially that love medley the DJs played while dunch was being served. I mean, it had "Up Where We Belong", and stuff from the Carpenters and Lionel Richie and Phil Collins and Chicago. That's some good shit right there. I don't think it would've been too bad if it wasn't for the fact that it was only us "kids" drinking and all the old folks where sober.

They did play some lamer stuff, like "The Electric Slide" and "Achy Breaky Heart". I can't stand group dances. And during the "Achy Breaky Heart", the DJ actually stopped the music and was all "you people are doing it all wrong". So they took the song back to the beginning and he tried showing them how to do it. And this happenned at least thrice. Its like "Argh!" Just finish the song so I don't have to hear/see this ridiculous spectacle taking place on the dance floor. It was amusing to run off to the bathroom and see the people waiting at the elevators, which were right across from the ballroom. They were all aghast when they heard "The Electric Slide" coming out of there. There was a bunch of other stuff going on at the hotel. Its like there was this renaissance wedding going in another set of rooms. They had this medieval string quarter dressed in the poofy shirts playing on their flutes and lutes. And I think there were a bunch of HS or college kids staying at the hotel by themselves for some weird academic program. Parents were dropping them off right before our own shindig started. Some cuties there too. They started eating at the bar across from our party. I was tempted to ask what the hell kind of program they were in when Aures and Roscel were hanging out at the bar smoking. But I doubt their parents or the guy in charge of the program who was waiting in the hotel lobby would appreciate them getting talked to by some slightly enebriated 25 year old.

After the party ended, we went home. They had a new karaoke thingie! Rock! So I sang a bunch of songs, and I think everyone was sick and tired of hearing me. Nothing else really happenned the rest of the weekend. I left for here on Sunday, just as they were watching of the video of the party. It was another rough flight back to Atlanta. Got back and went grocery shopping with Krug. I guess he's started getting into Neverwinter Nights. When I got home, he, Chris, and Andy were playing the multi-player game online. A paladin teaming with a dark elf monk?! It does not make cents! Anyhoo, we went to burger king for dinner, because Krug wanted to try their new backporch grillers. We had this crazy old man in front of us holding up the line because he was old and didn't understand all these different burger choices. It literally blew his mind. We also got free lemon frosties that they were giving away for ordering a value meal. Its nice to get free stuff, but not when you have to carry two cups in addition to the bag of food. But Krug's car had four cupholers in the front! Amazing!!

But now I'm back here at work, a little tired. Isn't it crazy that you feel more tired after a vacation. Its like you want a few more days off to recover after coming back from a trip.
