TV Commentary:

Glee- Good thing I didn't trust Fox, because after having one of the Fringe recordings getting cut off because AI ran long a few weeks ago, I realized I needed to add a few minutes just in case. And it did! How great of Fox to promote this show pretty heavily, but then still let AI run long so people who DVRed it got their recordings cut off!

Anyways, this was totally awesome. You know, they tout Ryan Murphy as the Nip/Tuck guy, I had no idea he was also behind Popular. The show has elements of the latter, but with more music. In any case, there was a lot I liked about this. The musical numbers were great, and I'm amused how the background music is mostly glee versions of famous songs.

They're obviously pushing Rachel/Finn and Will/Emma as the main ships, though it is odd how they're basically just parallels of each other- noth are guys stuck in dead end relationships with a couple of manipulative bitches. Well, Will is, we haven't seen enough of cheerleader girl, though Will's wife was head cheerleader in high school, and they reference Will being the "golden boy" back in high school, just like Finn seems to be. Rachel's pursuit of Finn is quite cute and earnest, it could've easily come off as overbearing and annoying.

But since a glee club is an ensemble, hopefully we'll learn more about the rest of the kids, rather than them being relegated to one sided caricatures. And what was with all the Heroes secondary characters in this- Will's wife is Meredith (though she's in everything, including Nip/Tuck), Emma is Charlie, the previous Glee club dude was Bob, and Finn's cheerleader girlfriend was Claire's cheerleader nemesis. Well, the second one, not the one from her original high school.

I'll definitely catch this next fall, and I can't wait for the soundtrack to come out. From the previews, it looks like they're gonna do a couple more fun songs. But "Don't Stop Believin" and "Rehab" are already up on itunes.

SVU- Okay, this was one of the more ridiculous eps of this show ever. I mean, some stalker ex-bf dude sets up Sprague Grayden to get raped by Haywire, and when they catch him and bring him to trial with Charles Widimore as judge, they eventually figure out he's Widimore's long lost son who everyone thought was killed by this serial rapist-killer from the 70s? It does not make sense, and "hanging a lampshade" on it still doesn't make it easier to swallow.

Reaper- I'm guessing this show won't be renewed for next year? I mean, the way the season finale seems to be being set up for next week, it looks like everything is in place to be a series finale. So Nina is able to get the info Sam needs from his dad ("the other thing needed" besides having to challenge the devil). They say he was in the third circle of hell. I wonder if that was significant, or if they just wanted to name drop a circle of hell. In Dante, its where the Gluttonous were punished. Speaking of, that CI with Miles O'Brien as the lecherous judge, his son listed his location on whatever the L&O universe equivalent of Myspace is as the fifth circle of hell, which is where the wrathful are, though I'm not sure how that fit with the theme of the ep.

90210- Interesting season finale. Wow, Naomi's sister is a huge frakkin krant! Seriously, who is that bitchy? But she fraks Liam, and Naomi freaks out and thinks its Annie, so she manages to get the whole school to turn against her. So Annie leaves, calls the cops on the party, but not before grabbing a bottle of vodka. And then she's distracted on the ride home and hits someone and drives off. (I wonder what the significance of them focusing on the car behind her that stopped to check out the body was, is it supposed to be the car of someone we know?) I mean, with the open bottle of vodka, and the fact that someone threw their drink on her so she prolly wreaked of booze, the cops were likely to think she was totally intoxicated (though it seemed like she's too prissy to actually drink, so I would think a breathalyzer would show she was not drunk despite all evidence to the contrary)

That's a retarded plot point though. Like on FNL, killing someone, accident or not, changes a person. And things can't just go back to normal! At least on FNL, they had a self defense excuse. If she did hit someone and even if they don't die, that's a serious crime. There's no way to hand wave that away! She'd be in serious trouble.

But Dixon figures out Ethan has a thing for Silver, and so Ethan confronts her and kisses her. I still think its out of the blue. Also out of the blue? Kelly apparently has a crush on Annie's dad? I guess they did grow up together, so its entirely possible.

As for Ade and Navid, everything works out for them. Well, Ade doesn't want to see the baby at first because she doesn't want to get attached when she's just gonna give it away. But then she has this dream where the show fakes you out into thinking Jim Walsh is dying in the same hospital, but its all a message about saying goodbye while she still has the chance. So she does, and its hard, but she does give it away. And then Brenda shows up and reveals she adopted a Chinese baby.

NCIS- So Ziva's obviously pissed at Tony for killing Rivkin, but just like Ari, he was another out of control Mossad agent. (And heh, apparently he was drunk, to explain how Tony was able to win against a bad-ass Mossad agent) Anyways, so they claim Ziva's dad knew Ari was getting out of control, so when that sitch played out, he sent Ziva to kill him to earn Gibbs' trust? That's a major retcon that I'm skeptical about!

Anyways, Ziva uses the whole ordeal as an excuse to stay with the Mossad to go on some mission to take down a terrorist training camp in Northern Africa. But she's apparently captured, with the terrorists interrogating her for info on NCIS. But there's this weird stuff with Vance and Gibbs talking about where her true loyalty lies, with them or her father and Mossad, so obviously there's something more going on here.
