dangerous, yet lady like
Apr. 21st, 2009 11:13 amG-D and effin eff-eff. I hadn't gone to hiptop3.com in a while, so I didn't friggin' know there's a new Sidekick LX coming out in less than a month! Its thinner, 3G, w/GPS, bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP standard and a bigger better screen, and a better video camera. It can use the SDHC memory cards now, so now you can go all the way up to 16 gig in there. The media player can do streaming audio and video now. The web browser doesn't support flash, but you can view youtube vids on it now. It also comes with a "social app" bundle of myspace, facebook, and twitter, although there's no monthly charge now.
But frak me, since I upgraded last year, I can't get the special $199 get it before it hits the street price. As much as I'd like to get it, upgrading again even at the lower price if I could've would be pretty retarded.
TV commentary:
Chuck- Wow, that was a insane ep of Chuck last night. Awesome learns Chuck's secret, and even bigger, the intersect is out of his head! If not for Chevy Chase still being alived at the end, I suppose the ep could've worked as a series finale.
With those new developments, I wonder if Morgan really is running off to Hawaii with Anna, and thus they're being written off the show. I mean, with the intersect out of his head, there's no reason for him to stay at the Buy More, and this is just the first step of writing off the Buy More part of the show and "changing the game" as it were.
Anyways, Sarah in her panties? HOTT! And talk about a huge cock-block, Morgan taking the condom out of Chuck's wallet. Though I suppose if they had been doing it, they woulda been interrupted by Casey and/or the Mummy anyways.
Gossip Girl- So is Rufus just planning to be a trophy wife now?! I mean, he's gonna sell the gallery (Wait, doesn't V have a coffee shop there?! What's she gonna do?) so how's he going to make money? (Heh, mebbe now they'll qualify for financial aid!) Mebbe now they'll end up moving in with the Van der Bassans.
But they re-addressed the whole Chuck trying to rape Jenny storyline from the pilot, which I kinda forgot about. I mean, I remember he's an attempted rapist, but it didn't occur to me how awkward that would be if the family's ever merged, because then he'd have two sisters whom he almost raped living with him. I mean, Serena seemed to get over it, but we haven't really seen any interaction between Chuck and Jenny since then.
The recaplet did bring up an interesting point though. With Chuck being all, Blair needs you to Nate, and Nate actually abandoning him and heading over to Blair's, he really doesn't have anyone anymore but his "family". And while the Van Der Woodsens have accepted him, if he leaves for Jenny's sake, he will truly have no one, and then what's holding him back from that dark abyss? So Chuck's salvation is in Jenny's hands. What he did to her was awful, but he is apologetic. Its well within her right to have him go away. But again, if she does, Chuck may be doomed.
24- Interesting reveals on 24. So Kim has a daughter now, whom she named after her mom? So Tony's really working for another part of the conspiracy? So I can understand him working against Hodges and Juma, but I'm still not sure it makes sense overall. Was it that this bigger conspiracy (so Jon Voight is tagging out as the big bad and coming in to replace him is Will Patton?) did want the bio-weapon, but they didn't agree with the Hodges-Juma plan, so they had Tony contact Buchanan to take that part down. It still seems a little non-sensical though. So there's a bunch of conspirators in the government, but then there are a bunch of other conspirators they were unaware of?!
But heh, Jack figures out Tony's a mole, but then he has a seizure, so Tony is able to get away. Oops! Oh, but heh, he said he went with Renee to help her since Larry's dead. Yeah, help her out of her pants!
Heroes- Wow, Hiro's kinda a dick, isn't he? And just when he stops being an ass, he loses his powers. Or at least he gets a really bad headache when he tries to use them. And did they just get rid of Ando's supercharginess? Because you'd think those times he touched Hiro, it would mebbe kickstart some of his other powers. But no, they just act like he's Elle, but with red lightning instead of blue.
But ha, Sylar pulls a psycho and starts morphing into his mother and having conversations with her. And even more hilarious, Sylar saves Micah, and its actually Micah who ends up giving him the idea to become president. Interesting, Sylar lost his stab/shoot him in the back of the head weakness? I'm guessing because of his shapeshifting, he's shifted that vulnerable part somewhere else? I used to think Candice's power was more useful for disguising oneself, because I swear when they first showed the shapeshifting power, it didn't do clothes. But apparently it does now! And wait, given other people on the team saw the whole I Am Sylar thing when he killed the disintegrating guy, shouldn't they start thinking Sylar is alive again? But they don't address it at all!
And aw, Matt's trying to reconcile with his wife and get his life back. He sure got over Daphne quick. Its people like him and Hiro and Sylar which make me think its retarded that Danko and his men try to take on powered people on their own. Guys like Matt and Hiro are unpossible to capture unless you get really lucky in ambushing them, but Matt should be really difficult to ambush unless they just snipe his ass from far enough a way that he can't sense their mind. And if Danko had some sort of real oversight, he shoulda been held criminally negligent for sending people after Sylar before they made their deal, given they had zero chance of surviving an encounter with him.

Date: 2009-04-21 04:32 pm (UTC)I don't know if it's a coincidence, but do you remember Harry Tang, the dickhead who competed with Chuck for the Ass. Man. position early in the first season? He got shipped off to Hawaii -- might we see the two of them together? I'm wondering if Chuck / Sarah / Casey might all move to Hawaii.
Of course, the real answer is probably that it isn't decided yet. From what I hear Chuck is kinda on the chopping block. They seem to be setting up for a number of possibilities.
1. Show is canceled. Season finale gives reasonable closure to ongoing plots.
2. Show is continued, but at reduced budget. Several extraneous characters shipped off to only return for occasional guest appearances.
3. Show is continued at current budget. Plots shipping off characters resolved. Possible change of location.
