Ah, with Lenten meatless Fridays over as of midnight, I can actually have something different to eat next Friday. I've ended up having the exact same meals these past fridays- Sushi for lunch, a salmon salad at Bonehead's for dinner this past month. I could've varied it though. Mebbe a grilled cheese basket at Junior's one of those days.

Argh, stupid weather making me miss FNL and most of Sarah Connor. I did miss like a few seconds of Dollhouse because Fox kept doing tornado warnings during the actual show instead of during the short commercial breaks. Seriously, its like the commercial break would end, and it would start into a few seconds of Dollhouse, and that's when they'd choose to the warning. What the frak?!

Anyways, TV commentary:

Dollhouse- I actually like that the eps lately haven't been MotWs. I'm surprised actually. I thought we'd get more "here's a crazy adventure Echo gets into with such and such imprint" in the series, but they've actually doing more exposing of the workings of the Dollhouse than I'd been expecting, particularly these past few eps. Lots of really interesting developments this ep!

Let's start with Ballard. Now that the Dollhouse knows Ballard found their bugs, they've sent Mellie back. Unfortunately, the mole (more on that later), felt November was the only real way they could contact him in a while, so the jig is up on November. For his part, Ballard seems crushed. I mean, I think he had legit feelings for Mellie. But now he knows she's been a plant sent to spy on him this whole time. And even worse, he can't let Mellie know she's a plant, so now he has to fake his way with her. That's got to suck- to find out someone you considered a friend or more is really someone programmed to spy on you, and even though you know they're a spy, you can't let them know you know they're a spy. Actually, wait, given that they're in an intimate relationship, doesn't that mean he has to act as if nothing's changed? So just like she's programmed to sleep with him to get at his secrets (I figured that's intentional in her programming, given that's the first thing she tried doing once she got back), he has to basically let it happen or else the Dollhouse will either a) get suspicious, or b) feel she's no longer effective and just pull her out.

Oh, who else is sleeping around? Adele! Apparently Victor (weird, his handler is what's her name from Hidden Palms and Dresden Files. Oh wait, I totally forgot she was also Miguel Prado's wife recently on this season of Dexter as well) has this recurring old client chick whom he gigolos (can the word be used in that way? What do you call what a gigolo does?) to. Only the old lady is just a ruse for the Dollhouse, and its Adele that's secretly the client! Ooh, how interesting! But alas, she's forced to give it up, because she thinks its too much of a distraction as she totally missed Mr Dominic being the mole.

But yeah, that was a big surprise, Dominic is an NSA spy! Though I was confused if he was the mole who's been working with Ballard, or just a mole, and the person contacting Ballard is someone else altogether. Because the mole seemed to be wanting Ballard to figure out what the Dollhouse's true purpose was, but Dominic made it seem like the NSA wants access to their tech and that they already know a lot of the workings of the Dollhouse.

It was funny when Echo became super counter-spy (and interesting, it was Echo who told Topher to give her such an imprint, looks like she's starting to composite, but given how helpful she was, Adele wants to run with it!), they had her interview the people the audience was expecting- Topher's assistant, Saunders, and Boyd. But they were all red herrings for Dominic.

We also find out that "being sent to the attic" isn't just for Dolls. Apparently it involves a super mind-wipe? Why don't they just kill the person? Very strange. Also, Adele was all, they were gonna wipe him, have him tell his NSA buddies everything's A-OK, then they were sending him to the attic. But won't they figure out something is up when they don't hear from him later? But with him gone, looks like Boyd got a promotion, though he wanted to still just be Echo's handler.

And why the hell would they allow him to be in the room when they were imprinting Echo's new handler, some Oriental fella? Its obvious that process is corrupted, given she was staring at him instead of the new handler when they did the whole "do you trust me? With my life" schpeel.

Oh, is it me, or did the whole Sierra infiltration thing have a kinda Matrix feel to it?

I thought the implication was that they could program him to tell his NSA buddies that everything was cool whenever they wanted. So he'd just be a zombie who told the NSA not to bother the dollhouse.

Finally watched this episode last night. No mention of Echo in the dominatrix outfit? I'm surprised!

That was a pretty good outfit. I especially liked the ass shot we got. But they usually do have her in something awesome, I just thought it would get old if I posted, "Is it me, or was that outfit Echo was wearing HOTT?" every time.

The ass shots were great. It wouldn't be a geebs post without a little mention of hottness!
