TGIF! I'm not normally a breakfast man unless I'm up in NY visting the fam. But that was a result of the work schedule. When I worked days, I was just up too early to grab something, though I would have the occasional sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. Evenings, by the time I woke up it was too close to lunch time, and nights, dinner was my breakfast, but since I didn't want to ruin my appetite for dinner, it would be a few hours after I woke up before I ate. But skipping a meal isn't good, so I've at least been having breakfast bars to tide me over until lunch. I used to go with poptarts, but the sugary-ness would make me sleepy.

TV commentary:

Lost- So this week's ep is a Ben backstory. I'm sure the shippers on the boards are glad to find out Ben didn't actually kill Penny, I know they were freaking out when Ben was all bloody and feared he had killed one or both of their beloved Desmond/Penelope ship.

I'm still confused about the timeline. The kidnapping Alex thing seems to be pre-purge. She's at least 16 in 2004, and the date on the Lost wiki puts the purge on Ben's birthday on December 19th, 1992. Though people get this year from the fact that dream Horace tells Locke he's been dead for 12 years (2004 minus 12 is 1992). That might not necessarily be accurate. And that also puts Rousseau being on the island while Dharma was still there. Which seems weird, but I guess if she crashed in Others territory, they wouldn't know about her. But didn't they have a radio station? Wouldn't they pick up her signal, which was supposedly going on for 16 years as of 2004? And how does she survive the purge?

But when Ben and Ethan kidnap Alex, the Others are still camping and not living in Dharma. And how the hell does that work if that scene is pre-purge? I can see Ben working as a double agent this whole time, but how does he end up recruiting creepy Ethan? Don't they wonder where they go off to when they disappear into the night together?

Heh, I think the roomie brought up an amusing point over dinner last night, that Ben's ticks are kinda backwards. He sounds most sincere when he's lying through his teeth, but when he's trying to convince someone he's telling the truth he sounds like he's totally lying. Then again, its also because a lot of the truths he tells are about crazy Island stuff, which are outlandish to begin with. Of course, we can never be sure with him. Of course, it seems almost compulsive. Like what the hell was up with him convincing Cesar not to trust Locke, but when he acts on that mistrust, Ben kills him?! Its almost like he's a sociopath or something and likes creating chaos.

Hmm, and I wonder if Ilana is a mole, or she and that one guy were infected like Rousseau's crew, which would be weird given they're on the wrong island for that. Or was the plane full of another set of "mercs"? Because they made it seem like if anyone was a mole, it was Cesar, but I guess that's just a red herring?

SVU- I know the bad guy was trying to be arrogant and superior by making his mom his alibi when she's totally creeped out by him. So its like, why would she alibi him if she hates him so much, so it must be true. But to me, it almost seems like a misstep, because wouldn't the cops work that much harder to break his alibi because they know he's playing some trick because the whole "mother and friends would never alibi him if it wasn't for real" is a little too obvious? I mean, if he did something like he was just work all day that day, they could spend days or weeks trying to figure out how he snuck out and investigate along those lines, rather than possibly immediately going for the "he messed with the body temp to make the time of death wrong"?

I'm also a little skeptical it would take them that long to see the trip pattern. I mean, during the interviews with friends and family and co-workers and wot-not, even if he didn't find the victims bought plane tickets, wouldn't Delroy Lindo figure it out when those people would be all, "Oh, so and so just got back from some trip!"

The Office- I'm actually amused by the new turn of events in the Office. I like the reversal of roles, where its Dwight messing with Jim. As I said, its karma for all the pranks he pulled, though I do feel bad that he is overly competent for his job, but his new boss thinks he's an idiot. Putting the minimal amount of effort, always fooling around, yes, but he's not incompetent.

And maybe its because I started doing purchasing at work, but I was thinking, who would order paper at $43 a box? I guess we don't know what kind, but when they just say paper, I'm assuming its the standard white 8 1/2 by 11. And $43 is way too much for that. Staples' sells at around $28 a box, though I guess that's also a discounted price I'm getting. But I doubt its a close to 33% discount! And where is this paper coming from that they're selling?

I'm trying to decide if the new receptionist (New Kelly or Kelly Erin) is kinda cute. And what's up with Dwight and Andy actually doing decent with her? Though I guess their impromptu jam session in the break room might've changed that.

Ben used Cesar to try to regain Locke's trust. I don't think Locke fell for it though.
