geebsI had the strangest dream last night. I thought my thumb was attached the wrong way so I ended up ripping it out of place. Not ripping it off, mind you, just ripping a huge gash. I had to push bone and nerve in. (Gross, eh?) Then skin healed over the wound and my hand was misshapen. I was at my old high school, so I went to the nurse's office to get it fixed, but since skin had healed over the wound, she had to take a scalpel and cut it open so she could sew my hand back together correctly. Given the wound I had, and the fact that she was cutting my hand open, my hand should have hurt like hell throughout the entire dream. But I felt nothing.
Which is something I realized about my dreams. I don't feel anything! Well, a lot of times, I will feel fear, my heart beating out of control because I'm being chased by gangers or zombies or something. But I won't feel pain. Or resistance when I'm beating some guy's head in or breaking his neck. Mebbe that's why I'm so desensitized to the violence in a lot of my dreams, it doesn't feel real. Like when I toss some guy off a roof, or suplex him through a table, he feels as light as air, so its like its not real. What's my point? Oh, none really.
