You know, I figured the guy in the mirror in that Skittles "Reflect the Rainbow" commercial was speaking Tagalog. I may not speak the language (why can't everyone just learn English?), but I at least recognize it. And while I do seem like someone who doesn't put too much stock in heritage, I do think its cool that the Filipino martial arts represent the pinnacle of knife fighting technique.

Anyways, I was watching the Soup last night. Firstly, they had this Mad Men joke where the guys from Mad Men (well, Connor from Angel and two of the other guys) made a cameo, doing some thank you for winning some award, but Levar Burton was with them. Since I don't actually watch the show, at first I was "Levar Burton is on Mad Men?!"! But then I realized he obviously wasn't. cpv('Yes, Ted, that was the joke.')

Then they had Topanga promoting her new Soup-like show on the Style network called "The Dish". Then flicking through the channels, she was hosting this special on Fuse about "Top 20 celeb cameos in videos". Cool, I didn't realize Topanga was still doing things.

But speaking of the "Top 20 celeb cameos in videos", I don't think it really counts if its before they were famous. At that point, its just a job. I mean, Christinas Applegate and Milan and Eva Longoria in a Jessica Simpson's "Public Affair", or all those peeps in Nickelback's "Rockstar", those are celeb cameos. But Courtney Cox in that Bruce Springsteen video, or Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler in the Aerosmith videos, weren't those before those chyx were really famous?

TV commentary:

You know, I dunno why I still watch Monk, because nowadays I just find his behavior appalling. I mean, its not "amusing" OCD-freakness, its just him being a total a-hole. I was kinda pissed at the end, when it seems like he learned his lesson after he saw how Natalie (and how can you do that to such a mad cutie!?) was killing herself to be there for him., but then she accidentally shoots him and he asks for the karma chips back. You know, even with her accidentally shooting him, I still think she's owed on the karma scale!

On Psych, I assume the danger at the end was that the one guy was gonna kill Shawn and Lassiter, not that he was going to get away with it, because even if Gus and the dad didn't confront Juliet at the station, it would be totally obvious things didn't go down the way the guy was painting it. I mean, claiming Shawn and Lassie were gay lovers is kinda funny, but that would be a moronic thing to do. I mean, how is that disinformation that would make them not look into it as much. So he thinks people would think the whole gay thing was awkward so they wouldn't want to investigate it further? If anything, I would think it would make them look more into it, because who the hell would think Shawn and Lassiter were an item?!

I know its only a show, and a comedy at that, but the bad guy should make some effort to make it look like he's trying!
