Ugh, hardly got any sleep last night. Normally, I'd take a nap after I got home from work, but I have some Christmas shopping to take care of. I'm amused that even though I lead the boringest life ever, it just seems like there's never enough time in the day. Like yesterday, I was freaking out because the simcard in my phone died for some reason, so I was like in a mad rush to get to the t-mobile store at the mall, getting pissed at all the stoplights, and pacing around like a madman at the store because they were busy with other customers. Its funny thinking about it now, because why was I stressing? Its not like I had anything else going on at the time but laundry, so its not like this errand was keeping me from anything.

And again, I have no life, so its not like me not being able to send/recieve calls on my cell (thankfully its working again) is life or death. And people got by/still get by without cell phones, yet the concept of not having a working phone on me would stress me out to no end. Like when people are all, they forgot to charge their phone so it died, or they left it at home, and are all non-chalant about it. I can't even conceive of not freaking out. What if there's an emergency, how would you contact people? Or what if you miss out on the coolest thing evar, because people tried to tell you about it, but they couldn't reach you because you didn't have a working phone on you. Of course, I'm naturally a paranoid worry-wart, so I'm always thinking of these what-if worst case scenarios that never come about.

Speaking of freaking out, there is something upcoming to freak out about, but luckily, I shouldn't really start worrying about it til after the break, and I have until the end of spring semester/the normal TV season to get things straightened out. All the options I've been looking at have fallen through so far though, but I'm trying to chillax and at least put off the freaking out until the beginning of next year.

TV commentary:

Wow, the Christmas ep of Chuck was like one of the most depressing Christmas eps ever. It had its funny parts (Ha, Al from Die Hard is Big Mike's cousin?!), but poor Morgan and Chuck. Anna thinks Morgan is a craven coward because he didn't try to jump the hostage taker guy with the others. but it turns out he was hiding and getting in place to blind him with the snow machine so Big Mike and Captain Awesome could take the guy out. So he gets to be the hero, but Anna AND Ellie are too busy fawning over Lester, who got injured in the first attempt to take the guy out. And then while Lester is on the stretcher, he grabs Anna and kisses her, which Morgan sees, so he's all depressed that Lester got his girl because she saw him be a hero and not Morgan. But he missed the part at the end when Anna gets pissed and pushes him away.

Conversely, Chuck sees Sarah execute a Fulcrum agent, but he missed the part at the beginning when the guy was taunting Sarah and saying Chuck would be hunted down like a dog. (Though why the hell was the guy practically saying everything he could to get Sarah to kill him?!) And even more amusingly, Sarah's desire to protect Chuck from all the bad in the world unwittingly backfires, because she lies and says Fulcrum guy was arrested, because she doesn't want Chuck to know she killed someone for him. So now Chuck thinks she's like Casey- a cold hearted lying liar who'll butcher people for the government. And he just gave her his mom's charm bracelet too!

Is it me, or on Heroes, can they not even stick with a story arc beyond an episode? Like the whole Nathan wanting to make Marine supersoldiers thing? Its like 4400 Marine guy is killed almost instantly, and then the formula is destroyed before it can be given to the others, and Hiro and Daphne take the formula plan before they can make more. And the whole Sylar being a third Petrelli, and then "Okay, not really" a few eps later, why did they bother?

But I assume Meredith and her brother are both dead now? Knox definitely? Even though Claire stabbed Sylar in the back of the head and Meredith ended blowing herself and Primatech up, I'm sure he's not dead dead.

But Ando has powers now. It looks red lightning-y like in the future Hiro saw, but is it the same power? He seems to have the ability to supercharge other Heroes, which is an interesting power. But is Hiro powerless? Or can Ando's charginess possibly give him his powers back? And does Peter have his powers back now? Like, did he only get back his absorption power, and currently he possibly only has Flint and Nathan's powers? Or does he have full access to everything he had previously?

And I know HRG was just using the level 5 guys as bait, but was that wise? Why would you expose Sylar to even more powers?

Oh, and what the?! Worf is president?!!

On SCC, we learn Riley's backstory. Apparently she was some moppet that Jesse found and for some reason thought would make a good person to use to try and get John Connor away from Cameron? We also learn Ellison and his wife broke up because she aborted their baby after 9/11 because they were both FBI agents, and they had no time to raise a child (or was it that she thought the world sucked and didn't want to raise a child in it?).

Anyhoo, Sarah hangs out with some UFO freaks, and searches for some mysterious blogger Abraham. Heh, I was thinking the one chick she met was pretty mannish, but then we learn its because it was supposed to be a man disguised as a chick! And wtf is with Sarah taking on the mysterious place alone? She couldn't call friggin' Cameron or Derek for backup? She doesn't know what's in the place, and they apparently have armed assassins going around shooting up people, its not hard to conceive that they would have heavily armed guards guarding the place! At the very least, she could've let them know what she was doing, so they don't wonder where the hell she is now that I assume she's gotten captured!

Oh, only yesterday did I learn of/see that Stoya chick. Apparently she's considered the first alt-pr0n contract girl? I've heard people say she's goth-y, but she didn't really seem so in the self-titled thing I saw her in. I mean, she kinda looked like a cross between Anne Hathaway and Michelle Monaghan to me. Sasha Grey was also in it, who's pretty cute as well. Its too bad she's not like the ALS chyx.

Heroes sounds like a cluster now. Glad I bailed at the end of season 1.

So they superheat and then fire guns at bullet proof glass but are unable to break it. What does work is a freaking 110 pound girl with no special abilities other than to not die while trying hitting it with her shoulder?

And Daphne runs super-Ando-ized fast and travels back in time a few seconds so she can see her self Ando-ized. And when it happens they show her appear behind herself and merge with the already time-travelled self? How does that make sense?
