Just got back from dinner with the usual suspects at the Flip Burger Boutique. Its this "trendy" burger place that just opened up on Howell Mill. I had the Steak Tartare burger, which I thought was pretty good (yeah, its raw, but it was nice and spicy), except for its size. Seriously, their burgers are only slightly bigger than a slider (that you would get at a place like Friday's, not the white castle/krystal sized burgers) but are in the $7 to $11 range. The sides were pretty good too- we had some vodka-battered onion rings and sweet potato tots, but again the portions are kinda small for its price. What's up with these "trendy" places charging you a fortune for small portions? bbv('Its total BS!')

Flicking through the channels late last night, passed by a skinemax (well, its was on HBO, but the term applies) flick which had pr0n cuties Michelle Maylene (who I just learned was a Flip! But I had guessed as much) and Courtney Simpson. Normal pr0n chyx doing soft-core. cliffV('What's up with that!?')

Haven't really tested the range of my headphones until today, when I walked to the bathroom sink and didn't realize I had left the SK on my bed. But there was no interruption in signal. I decided to look up the range online, and there are people claiming its 30m, which I'm skeptical about. Mebbe it depends on the device you're connected to, but from my bedroom, it looks like I can walk all the way down the hall to the front door before the signal starts cutting out. So that's closer to 30 feet than 30 meters.

Maybe 30m if there's not a wall in the way?

I went to Flip for lunch on Saturday, and the guys at the table next to us got 2 burgers a piece. I had the po-boyger, and it was pretty tasty, though not quite as good as Star Provisions' shrimp po-boy.

The food was pretty good, though I'd agree that the portions are a bit on the small side.

Yeah, I think I woulda been satisfied with two burgers, but two burgers, a drink, and a side woulda made for a $30 meal! And their milkshakes are like $8 (which we determined, taking into account inflation, is what the $5 milkshake from Pulp Fiction would be priced now)! [livejournal.com profile] clevemire was looking forward to the burnt marshmallow one, but they were out when we went. He ended up getting the krispy kreme one, but he says they're not as good as a chik-fil-a milkshake.
