Ugh, work tomorrow. I shoulda just taken the whole week off, because its a little ridiculous to go in Monday when I'm off starting Tuesday until next Sunday. I mean, working one day between the weekend and the time I took off for Thanksgiving does not make cents!

Oh, the roomie left the TV on HBO during lunch, so I ended up catching 27 Dresses. It was okay. Still haven't seen Made of Honor, PS, I Love You, or Definitely Maybe. (I know, could that list sound any more queer?)

TV Commentary:

24- The prequel to the upcoming season was okay (wait, is it and the beginning of this season stuff filmed before the writer's strike last year?). It was pretty much your typical 24 fare with the same recurring themes. Though given it was a prequel, I wasn't sure if it was going to be in "real time" like the show, but I guess it does just span 2 hours.

True Blood- Yeah, I know you only see her for less than a minute tonight, but Jessica in the pigtails and slutty school girl outfit? HOTT! Of course, the day I don't say a cutie in pigtails and a slutty school girl outfit is HOTT is the day I've been replaced by a doppleganger or a pod person or whatever. I don't know why Eric and Pam find her annoying, I think Jessica would make for a hilarious childe (speaking geek fun-wise, she's exactly the kinda childe Abdul or Tyrell would want! Yeah, I know only [livejournal.com profile] zarathrustra94 and [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler would have an inkling of what I'm talking about).
Anyways, so even though they never see the fax, Sam figures out Rene's the killer by smelling his work vest and matching it to the smell of those sheets he was sniffing (I totally forgot about that weirdness) Sookie figures it out because Rene took her home and acts all shifty (Oh, I thought that was a cool touch, her noticing Rene's thoughts aren't accented, given that he's faking being cajun). But after doggie Sam gets Rene off Sookie, she recovers and detates his capa (Office ref!) with a shovel. And ha, poor Bill runs through the sun, risking his life to save her and he didn't even actually help.

But interesting plots we have for next season. So Tara's still with Admiral Cain, and apparently she and Sam have some sort of mysterious history. Jason's in with a big anti-vamp church. And Sookie, Tara, and the detective guy find a body (possibly Lafayette's) in his car.

Interesting end to the season. So given the Scorsese film he got is filming in NY (well, that and Johnny just bought that bar and they introduced that old female friend who's into Vince), I assume part of next season will be in NY? And what kind of street is he (well his mom) living on that there are no cars parked on either side of the street?

Heh, I thought they were gonna drag that whole Vince/E tiff until next season, but that resolved itself pretty quickly. At least Vince knew he had to apologize. Oh, and the whole thing with Turtle's mom catching him having phone sex with Meadow Soprano, its like they were talking the whole time on his cell previously, why would they switch to his mom's house phone, if only to just cause an embarrassing sitch where his mom overhears him?

I really dislike the spelling of "childe." Tis a silly word.

You know how fantasy-ish settings are (I think even modern day vampire stuff qualifies as fantasy), they need to spell things all weird, like spelling it "magick".
