geebsHow do cats know how to use the kitty litter box? Do you have to train them to do that? Is it an instinct thing? If so, do wild cats do that?
TV commentary:
Smallville- Okay, tonight's Smallville was total BS! That's the thing I hate about superhero stories, I'll never be convinced keeping that aspect of yourself from the ones you're closest to thing is for the best. (So sorry friends and fam, guess I'll be endangering y'all if I ever get superpowers!) But tonight's new development just makes me so friggin mad. So Chloe starts losing her memory as Braniac continues to take her over. To save her, Clark uses the crystal to rebuild the fortress and has Jor-El remove Braniac, as well as her memories of him being a Kryptonian with special powers. I would think certain things in her life won't make sense at all now though!!
But not cool. That's almost as bad as when Tenth had to remove Donna's memories on Doctor Who. At least she still has the normal memories. They do the scene only referenced previously- where she kissed him the first day they met, with a young Clark and Chloe. It was cute.
At least Davis overtly reveals his crush on Chloe. (A bit fast though! Though I guess it might be a weird braniac influence or something.) Still, it was bugging me this whole ep when it was totally obvious he has a thing for her, and Jimmy was totally oblivious! Could it be spelling it out more plainly that he was not going to the wedding because he's in love with the bride?

So tonight's Office demonstrates an aspect of inter-office romance that's awkward- everyone cheering Jim on when Pam was about to come back, and then feeling all depresso for him when it looked like she wasn't. Its like everyone knows their shit. But she is back, though is she fully ready to be back? Has she given up on graphic design?
The Oscar/Andy hanging out scenes were amusing. Its always interesting to see plots not around Michael/Dwight/Jim/Pam.

Wait, so the promos for tonight's 30 Rock were all about Jennifer Aniston guesting? But they don't even mention the Night Court peeps (what, they couldn't get Dan, Bull, or Roz?)? Isn't it a little insulting that they don't even warrant a mention?

On Supernatural, we learn what Sam was doing during Dean's summer vacation in hell. So he made Ruby inhabit a comatose girl who's soul was already gone so she wouldn't be riding an innocent. And he effed her, which is kinda messed up. I guess the body's soul was gone, so its not rape, but it is kinda necrophilia! And weird looking, given Jared Padalecki is ginormous, and Genevieve Cortese's a petite girl. I mean, when they were kissing, his head like dwarfed hers!
Oh, and I was wrong about Samhain having to have risen or else they wouldn't have to worry about Lucifer rising for another 600 years. Apparently, there's a whole bunch of seals, and Lilith only needs to open 66 of them. Which I guess makes things infinitely harder, because if it there was a defined set of seals, the good guys know what they have to exactly stop. But since there's hundreds, and they don't know which of these 66 Lilith is making a play for, it makes it harder for them to know what to worry about.

Date: 2008-11-17 09:27 pm (UTC)Cats: It's mostly instinct based, they tend to pee/poo in the wild in similar types of sediment or whatever. As kittens, ya gotta show 'em where to go one or two times, and they'll take it from there on their own (nowhere NEAR the trouble of training dogs). Only problem is if you have a potted tree in your house, they usually prefer to pee/poo in that than their litter box, so you have to make the dirt area inaccessible somehow.
