geebsA few weeks ago, I said it was getting cooler, but not really. Nowadays though, it is noticably colder. Boo!
TV commentary:
Wait, on Pushing Daisies, Emerson Cod's mother is white?! I wonder what the story is behind that. Heh, for the first few minutes, I was trying to wrack my brain, trying to figure out who she was, but I eventually realized she's played by Edna from Everwood. Ah, and given they seemed to drop Monica from Heroes, guess she has the time to make a guest spot here. Heh, I totally forgot she and Emerson were father and daughter on the Nine.
For a minute there, I thought they were gonna have Ned accidentally re-animate one of David Arquette's freaky taxidermy sculptures.
On Dexter, I find it amusing that Dexter seems to have a hard time saying the right things to Rita, but he can brilliantly manipulate Ramon so Miguel will see him as untrustworthy. But ah, I had a feeling when he was watching that interrogation of that one chick, he would copy that speech when he went to convince Rita to marry him. HA!!
And again, I know they've said Deb and Dexter were raised differently, but it is interesting that she's this impulsive, boor who acts before she thinks, whereas Dex is the total opposite. Every little thing he does or says is like a chess move, meant to get a certain thing. And heh, if Deb is so pissed at the IA chick and wants her to leave her alone, why did she save her number? Its not caller ID, since it shows up as "Yuki".
Oh, and I'm still curious where they're going with this Miguel friendship thing. They're trying to paint it like this guy really wants to be just friends, and I don't know if its because the audience sees things from Dexter's point of view and thus the viewers are also wary and skeptical, but it just seems like there's something more going on. Heh, I do find it funny in the end, when Miguel was all, "Ah, guess there's only one person I can trust" and Dexter was all, "Yeah, yourself!" and Miguel tells Dex, "Uh, I was going to say you!"
Given he seems to have a somewhat good read on Dex (well, he doesn't seem to think Dexter is a serial killer, and that the Freebo thing was a in the heat of the moment, vigilante kinda thing), I wonder if Miguel is playing him. As I said, he and his family seems supicious in general, and I wonder if he knows what Dex is, and he's trying to get in good with Dex to use him later for some nefarious purpose.
On Smallville, I guess Tess really is trying to form the Legion of Doom? And Martian Manhunter is in the Metropolis PD since he thinks that's a good place for him to be able to help Clark. But his name is John Jones?! Ugh!! And, wow Clark was in full self-righteous a-hole prick form tonight. Oh, and what the hell, these last two eps have been touting that Jimmy's the perfect man for Chloe and how she loves only him and is totally over Clark, so in the stupid Saw-ish ep last week, when the guy was all, "Do you love anyone other than Jimmy?" she was all "no, Jimmy's the only man for her". But now, they're saying she has this attraction to Davis?
Kinda ship-heavy ep of the Office tonight. I guess the distance thing is starting to hit Jim, but he does stop himself popping up in NY like a crazy man. And I guess Holly and Michael are officially an item? Too bad they end up kissing in front of the bossman. I wonder how that's gonna turn out.
And then because Dwight takes some advice from Phyllis, but cocks it up in his typical Dwight way, he's perhaps lost Angela to Andy? Yeah, Angela should make a choice, but Phyllis shoulda realized he was gonna force Angela to make a choice in the worst possibly way.
