geebsCould there be any more TV on Monday nights?! At least the Closer is done, but then Heroes and HIMYM start up next week, and Chuck the week after that!
TV commentary:
On Gossip Girl, Dan and Serena break up yet again, only this time it "permanent". Heh, the little fangirls in the park all "Why R U guys back together?!" were both weird and hilarious! Yeah, Serena would prolly lie to him again, but only because she's freaking out because he's such a judgmental prick. Although Dan's pretty much back to being persona non-grata now that he's cut ties with the only person at school who actually liked him (lets face it, not even Jenny was a big fan of him, ha!). And I wonder if Serena will go back to her wild ways now that she doesn't have Dan to strive to be good for.
Jenny loses her internship for criticizing one of Eleanor's designs to a model, but then the power goes out and she helps Eleanor with things and is unfired. And then we find out Rufus is dating some random when he goes to check on Jenny.
Nate tries to rekindle things with Vanessa and get out from under the Duchess' thumb by trying to get Chuck to reconsider the loan, but alas he's put the money into bonds and can't get it back for a few more months. So Nate's stuck whoring himself out. But then he decides to choose V over Catherine and figure out the money thing. The Duchess realizes something's up, and with Blair's help finds out who Vanessa is. They scheme and invite V to the party, and she and Nate are rightly suspicious. Nate figures out Catherine knows about Vanessa and tries to un-invite her, but then Rufus tells her to just pretend she didn't get that voicemail and go anyways. V gets there just in time to see Nate and Catherine holding hands and knows something's up. Heh, Nate takes Vanessa aside and tries to explain, "Oh, no, its not a creepy Mrs. Robinson thing, I'm doing it for money!" As if that's any better. But he resolves to break it off, only the Duchess finds Vanessa first and blackmails her into leaving Nate by saying if Nate breaks it off, she'll go straight to the Feds and tell them where his father is. So Vanessa tells Nate to go to Catherine and cries to Dan about it in the end.
As for the Chuck/Blair/Marcus triangle, Chuck can't get it up for anyone but Blair, whereas Blair wants some Marcus, but he's all "No thanx, you're a delicate flower, lets wait!" What is he, gay!? Blair's friggin' hot! So during the blackout, she tells Marcus to meet her upstairs, but then Chuck goes back to his rapin' ways and pretends to be Marcus. Of course, Blair isn't stupid, and she knows down inside that its really Chuck, and when Marcus catches them he calls her on it. So he dumps her, but then she's all she only did it because he doesn't show her any passion and they kiss, so I guess they're unbroken up now?
The only peeps from Blair's little gang were Penelope and Nelly Yuki were at the party though. Could they not get the other girls? Hopefully the rest of the gang will be back next week. At the very least Hazel, she's my favorite.
So on SCC, John makes a new friend, Riley. Its very odd, given she's also a mysterious blond, I'm wondering if the character was originally supposed to be the one mysterious chick from last year and the actress fell through or something. Anyways, she's a little too friendly though, something's definitely off with her though. Maybe it was off camera, but didn't John find it weird she spent the night without having to tell anyone anything? And I know they're not exactly a normal family, but Sarah's fine with him just taking her up to his room for the entire night? Coolest mom ever! In any case, I'm guessing she's in the resistance, or she's a terminator. Yeah, Cameron analyzed her, but Cameron also seems broken, so its possible for her to be a robot and Cameron just didn't say anything.
Speaking of Cameron, something's definitely off with her, and the rest of the gang is uneasy around her now, worried she'll flip out and kill them all. But that doesn't stop Cameron and Sarah from having a cute little rapport going at the plant they're going undercover at, synchronizing their answers and wot-not. Speaking of the plant, they go back to the whole Sarah dying of cancer thing by having her develop a fear or radiation. I think its a neat little development, no matter how irrational it is. I mean, yeah, she died of cancer, but its a totally different time line now! I she worried just because she originally died of cancer, she's susceptible to developing it? Everyone's susceptible to getting cancer, some more than others (though didn't the doctor say she isn't more likely to develop it than the average?). So it is kinda crazy for her to freak out near anything that could possibly cause cancer. And then asking Cameron "Is this how it happens?" How should she know, its a different time line! It couldn't have been how it happens, because she would've died a few years before, and thus could not die from being irradiated years after her death!
Interesting, are they doing a weird time war sort of thing, where now Skynet and the resistance are making trips to the past for tactical advantages in the future? And what's with them sending Terminators back that mimic specific people?! I guess its possible, but that kinda changes the game. Before, you only had to worry about the T-1000s or people they never met being Terminators. But now terminators can be anyone! In any case, its hard to tell who "won" the ep. They stopped the plant from melting down without causing the plant to be shut down permanently, but then Garbage lady disguised herself as some CEO who's automating the plant and several others. So is it advantage Skynet?
And what was the weird words written in blood? Who wrote them? Are they plans/clues for what Connor and company need to do next? Oh, and Ellison and Dixon tell Penelope Widmore about the whole Skynet deal, and the Dixons leave because the terminators might come after them for some reason?!
So on OTH, we get a sad funeral ep for Q. I'll give them credit for making me feel bad for a character I used to despise, but I guess he was getting better in recent eps. Heh, having the captions on, I saw the voice over in the beginning was done by some Samantha. So I was all, "Who the eff is Samantha?" I guess she's the shoplifter girl. Strange, where did she get the Clothes Over Bros top? Didn't Brooke stop her from shoplifting? Did she get it some other time, or is she linked to Brooke's attack? Speaking of, is there the implication that Brooke was raped? Being beaten like that is rough, but it seems like something darker took place. And she threw in rape when she was spouting off all those assault statistics. If she did, her mother is a real scumbag then, not only getting her daughter beat up, but raped as well just to get control of the company?! We still haven't seen her again yet, and I guess not all that much time has passed since the season started, but I'm still thinking she thought it would be Millicent at the store when she sent the masked man there, if it was indeed she who did that.
I'm also amused how they try to fit Carrie and Dan in with the loss theme of the ep by revealing she's a crazy psycho because she lost her son and that's why she's trying to steal Jamie.
On Prison Break, Team Scofield finds out T-Bag is in LA, but because he's a lucky SOB, they have to let him go before they can find the bird book. So he goes to his job, where the cute secretary is played by Lindsey from the OC. Its nice to see her get more work. Especially in an awesome cleavage baring blouse like that. spcv('Nice!')
On the Closer, how did they not realize one of the work guys was in on the conspiracy? The dead boys were obviously crazy sociopaths, therefore, if these guys were so buddy buddy with them, they should bear closer scrutiny! I wonder if Sanchez is going to make it?
