You remind me of the babe

turdburgler's copy of Labyrinth Saturday, so I can finally say I've seen that movie. It was a pretty interesting movie, although Jennifer Connelly could be a bit dramatic at times. But I enjoyed it.
Later that day, saw No Country for Old Men with the usual suspects. I don't know what to think of it, it was an edifying story, but got a little too artsy. Like the ending? What the?! I'm sure there are people who "get" it and could explain what it means, but it seemed the majority of the theater were pissed and confused.
TV commentary:
What the hell, I was joking with the roomie that last week's promo with Landry turning himself in was going to be the last five minutes, but I didn't realize that was actually going to be the case. Thanks for giving away the ending promo guys! Next week's promo is also about the murder storyline, and its hilarious how NBC's promo department seems to be pushing the one storyline that everyone seems to dislike!
Anyways, regarding that storyline, the police tell Tyra the dead guy's brother is wanting to meet his brother's victims to try and make amends. Landry goes in her stead and starts feeling ultra guilty when the guy makes Landry see dead guy as human. So he's all depresso, and Lyla sees that he's obviously confused during one of her prayer circles at school. So they talk and he's all I have a secret that's eating away at me, so Lyla advises the truth will set him free, so he goes to the cops and confesses.
Smash visits one of his college choices and its kinda fun with the partying, though he has a run in with one of the guys on the team, who seems like some roided up madman. So of course, when Smash spies some honey at the pool party, you totally knew that was going to be the crazy guy's gf. So he pulls a coitus interruptus and Smash has to flee for his life in his boxers and Matt has to pick him up and get him some clothes.
Matt asks him for advice on his situation. He wants to transition from cheerleader girl to Carlotta, but doesn't wanna outright dump her. Though why he's asking the guy who had to flee from a crazy jealous boyfriend in his underwear whom he had to pick up in the middle of the night, I don't know. Doesn't seem like he'd be the best person to ask relationship advice from. Smash advises he ask for an "open relationship" and that the girl will break up with him and he comes out "smelling like roses". What the hell does that mean? How would you ever look good asking for that. So obviously, when Matt tells cheerleader girl that, she calls him a dick and breaks up with him. So he puts the moves on Carlotta, and she resists at first, but then she goes to his bedroom and they do it. Or at least they start to, but we don't see the results.
Heh, Tami lambasts that Noah guy for giving her daughter racy reading material and hanging out behind closed doors. She shouts stuff like he's a pedophile and how she can get him fired or get Coach to kick the crap out of him in front of other students, so this all gets back to Julie who's mortified and pissed. Tami thinks she handled that situation fine, until Coach gets all mad about her hanging out with Glen and getting all friendly. Then her sister tells her how she'd feel if their mom did that to her, so Tami feels a little guilty that she might've mishandled the situation.
In Tim's storyline, he starts hanging out with creepy underwear guy, going out hunting with him, and buying cold medicine in the middle of the night. So I start thinking, "ah, is this guy a meth head?" And sure enough, Tim finds his lab and realizes he needs to get his life back together. He tried turning on the charm with Tami earlier in the ep, to try and get her to talk to Coach, which she does, but Coach is all, that's what he does, turns on the charm to get out of his mistakes without consequences. But the lab pushes Tim to finally hunker down and apologize to the team for letting him down and refuses to leave practice when Coach tells him to, so the Coach relents and lets him into practice. They prolly need him, given they lost the game in the beginning of the ep like 37 to 0 or something.
