FNL commentary:

In Mexico, Lyla shows up to talk some sense into Jason, but is all pissed when she sees her boys are both drunk, and Jason didn't even know she was coming. Wouldn't that kinda defeat the purpose of her coming though?! Jason would be suspicious if she showed up, and figure out they're trying to talk him out of the surgery. And wasn't the surgery supposed to be for the next morning? Anyways, they have a booze cruise intervention. And when they tell it to Jason straight that he's not gonna walk again, he dives off the boat!

Luckily, he's like Joe Swanson. jiv('I'm Joe, my legs don't work, but I make up for it with a strong upper body!') So he swims to shore and is all, "Fine, I won't get the surgery, I didn't really want it anyways." So they drive back to Dillon, and almost have some weird effed up cripple sex devil's threesome. How intriguing!

Back in Dillon, Julie comes crawling back to Matt. Amazingly, Matt shows some spine by not taking her back! I think they should get back together again eventually, but not right now. I think the most hilarious part of that storyline was Matt asking Mrs. Coach if he would be a chump if he took her whore of a daughter back. Its like, how is she supposed to answer that?

Speaking of Mrs. Coach, Coach is feeling randy, so he tries to be all suave and get Tami into bed, but it doesn't work. Then he sends her to book club to get drunk and loosen up and hopefully want some sex when she gets back, but that doesn't work either, since the women there have had the same thing happen to them, and tell her what's what, so strike number two. But he gets to hit it eventually, he just had to be patient and wait for her to be ready.

But it was hard for Coach, as he had a lot of pent up frustration, not just sexually, but because of the team falling apart because of Matt and Smash's rivalry.

But before I get into that, let's talk Landry. His dad gets increasingly suspicious of Tyra, particularly since the detectives investigating the body see her as a person of interest. And then when Landry lies to his face, he thinks Tyra killed the guy and she's with Landry to somehow protect herself. So he goes to see Tyra, all offended by her den of sin, her and her sister prancing around in their undies. Instead of thinking, spcv('Nice!'), he tells her to stay away from his son.

Now with that said, lets get back to the game- Coach is all pissed, and the team is all "Matt and Smash are benched", but he says last he checked, they weren't the whole team. Landry gives some words of encouragement all, they're better together than they are alone. Alas, the coach does not say, "That Lance kid is right!" (he continues to call him Lance), but that would've been hilarious!

Anyways, Landry is somehow the hero of the game, first making a critical tackle (man they must be pissed that Riggins missed two games!). Then in the end, after Smash apologizes (again, Matt holding his ground!) for being all cocky and the Coach playing them, Landry gets in line for a touchdown pass... and gets tackled. The roomie yelled, "That's pass interference!" which it was, and they did have a flag on the play, so play redux, Smash runs it in for the win. But people still chant Landry's name. See, he made that tackle to prevent the opposition from having one more touchdown than they had, but he didn't make that final catch, so why is he the hero?

So Landry's living the dream, so Tyra breaks up with him coldly, being all, "Do you think we would have ever gotten together if the whole murder thing didn't happen?" This happens at the same time as Matt tells Julie the writing on the wall. But they do not spend their newfound singleness by banging some Rally girls.

Just about completed WO. Unlocked all the skills, got all 79 characters to 99, got their PIs and 4ths, just have to max out the attributes on their 4ths. I know, I'm insane. It helped that the ps2 was moved to the poker room, hooking the video up straight to the flat screen via component cables while the cable box was connected via hdmi. That way no video inputs were going through the receiver, and the audio from each going through fiber optic cable. So I could set the receiver audio to the box, and do picture in picture so I could watch my shows and play the game at the same time. I know, again, I'm insane. And fortunate that I'm able to do both at once.

Anyways, now that I'm almost done with WO (I know, some people would consider me more than done!), I can't wait for SW2:XL. I mean, new characters, new charge attacks (apparently you get them somewhere in the 20s, but since I already have everyone at 50, they should be available for the non-XL characters immediately), level cap raised from 50 to 70, new skills, 5th weapons. And you can edit the weapons now! Some peoples fourths had crappy attributes, so its nice to know you can finally change them. Though you do need to win "orbs" on the boards to be able to modify the weapons, and it costs gold of course. So there's definitely still a lot to do. Ah can't wait!

He didn't just make a tackle; he forced a fumble during an interception run. He got Dillon the ball back, which is huge. And drawing a pass interference call is as good as a catch in some ways: it gets your team an automatic first down and 15 yards.

He didn't really draw the interference, the guy just hit him way too early.
