Just watching the new Doctor Who on Sci Fi right now. It actually is a pretty entertaining show. Two shows that seem to fit my tastes but I haven't been watching: this show and The Shield. But The Shield just finished its sixth season. That just seems too much to catch up on. It looks like Doctor Who is only in the middle of its 3rd season, and it only does the 13 ep season thing, so that's not too much to try and catch up on. Only I'm not sure how I'd go about doing that. And is it me, or has the Doctor Who theme always been pretty cool? (Weird, this ep on right now has Giles! I almost didn't recognize him at first!)

Besides TV, there are still a couple of DVDs in both my and the roomie respective collections I have't watched, and a back log of reading material. I finished the latest ES ([livejournal.com profile] turdburgler, what do you mean that was the last book? Like it was cancelled? Because there is a "next issue/to be continued" there in the end), books 16 and 17 of Lone Wolf and Cub (geez, the way he's going, he's about to slaughter all of Japan! I mean, they're starting to send whole armies after him and yet he mows through them like wheat) and Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns (pretty interesting story it is). But I still have a few more things [livejournal.com profile] turdburgler and [livejournal.com profile] clevemire lent me, and the roomie just got a bunch of the Runaways TPBs, plus a number of novels in his library I've been meaning to check out.

Its like, I also have work, studying, and writing, so there just doesn't seem to be enough time to take everything in- there's just so much to watch and read! Owel, I shouldn't claim to be bored anymore when there's so much to take in.

Just wait for the Shield to come back around in syndication and start recording it. It might be slightly edited for content if they still show it on Spike TV, or more than slightly edited if you have to catch it on WATL (which I think shows a few episodes late at night on the weekend... checking their schedule, they're at the end of season 3 right now).

It's a pretty good show, the main guy who writes it wrote for angel and I think co-created the Unit, so I think it's right up your alley. Plus Ronnie Mars and Weevil both appeared on it early on.
