geebsHad dinner at Furddrucker's with the usual suspects. Apparently, this whole time, C-note had no idea about the fixins' bar?! Actually, is it called the fixins bar? I know it was called that at Roy Rogers. And do they still have Roy Rogers around? They were the first place I encountered that ever had such a thing. Which I thought was cool, because you could get as much pickles and onions as you wanted. I guess you could always ask for extra pickles or whatever, but I abhor the whole your way right away because it delays the queue making a special order like that. Plus, you feel like you're getting more if you get it yourself.
So Desmond, Jin, Hurley and Charlie deal with Nessa (does she have a name on here yet) Apparently, she had a rough landing, and punctured a long on a tree branch. Hurley accidentally sends up a flare. And who responds?! Mikhail! Who's alive! At first, I was thinking, they have no idea about him. But the losties actually talk off-screen, so they know who he is. And that he's supposed to be dead! Anyways, he used to be a field medic, so he patches up Nessa. He tells her she should be okay in a day or two. And they're all, "But she punctured a lung". Hey, he frickin' came back from the dead! (So what about Ana-Lucia, Libby, Shannon, Boone, Arzt, Ethan, Goodwin, Pickett and his gf/wife or whatever the hell she was, or Miss Klugh? Or was Mikhail's wounds not lethal enough and while the island has fast healing, it can't heal everything?) Anyways, Hurley says he's from flight 815. And Nessa all, "That's unpossible, the wreckage was found, there were no survivors." Which I take to mean Dharma possibly gave up fake wreckage. But what's up with people on the forums? There's a bunch of people all pissed, because for some reason they equate Nessa saying there were no survivors to mean they like found everyone's corpses and they have this wild idea they're all ghosts or whatever. I don't think that's what she's saying at all! I mean, if they find wreckage, no survivors nearby, and logic tells them no one could survive such a crash, they will prolly all be reported as not surviving.
Anyways, its a Sun flashback ep. Apparently, soon after their marriage, an old lady shows up saying Jin's mom was a whore and she'll reveal it unless Sun gives her a hundred K. Turns out Jin told her his parents were dead. She tracks down his supposed dad, who claims he's not even actually sure he's the dad, he just took Jin in because his mom basically abandoned him. So, she asks her dad for the money, but in exchange, Jin starts working for him personally. So she put him on the path to being an enforcer for her dad, not his own ambition! Anyways, she pays the lady off, and figures out, she is the whore mother! To prevent any future blackmail, Sun threatens that, as whore-mom surmised, Sun's family is very powerful, and she can have her killed if she shows her face again.
In the present, Sun interrogates Juliet because Jack does a piss poor job of fishing to see if Sun is alright now that she's preggers. In a hilarious scene, Kate tells Sun she needs to ask Juliet what's going on, and then when they confront her, Kate leaves right before Juliet drops the "chicks knocked up on the island die" bomb, and then shows back up right afterwards. Ha!!! The problem is, Sun doesn't know if Jae or Jin is the dad.
So Juliet grabs Sun in the middle of the night and they go to the prenatal care hatch that Kate's already been to. Kate didn't know about the secret room though. So they go in the secret room and use the ultrasound machine to determine the date of conception. Alas, its lose lose, because if Jae knocked her up, she's safe, like Claire, but then has to deal with carrying another man who is not Jin's child. But if it is Jin's, then she's toast. Turns out its Jin's, even though the docs in the outside world said he was infertile, because apparently men on the island are 5 times as virile. Guess Kate'll be knocked up soon then, given she banged Sawyer twice! So its bittersweet, then Juliet tells Sun she needs to cover the tracks, but she's really leaving a recording for Ben- that Sun's preggers, and she'll get samples from all the women in the Lostaways camp, particularly Kate. She stops the recording right before she tells Ben she hates him.
Back in Jericho, Russell's ("nice" New Bern guy) men get into a shootout with Gray's at the salt mine. One of the New Bern men dies, and Russell tries to let them know without actually telling them, that New Bern's getting loaded and ready for bear, and this latest incident will send them over the edge. So he takes Mayor Dad back to New Bern, but more on that later. Emily tries to mend fences between Mary and Ma Green, and it looks like Ma is coming around, even though she misses April a lot. (Where they that close?!)
Meanwhile, Skylar is all sad because one of her family's friends said mean things about her dad. Dale tries to tell her its because they were upset over the whole shooting incident, then he changes tacts and says they were basically kissing her dad's ass before because he was rich. In the end, when the lady comes around for meat, Dale raises prices to four times what they were. And a bunch of forum people were, "what an asshole!" Of course, they apparently didn't realize he did that on purpose, so Skylar would look good when she gets to give the lady the meat for normal price.
Over in New Bern, the New Bernies try to torture the Green boys for info. Marine girl is there as well, and Jake tells her about Hawkins so she could give the info to Constantino since it would sound better coming from her than Jake for some reason. Anyways, they take her up to Ted's cabin, threatening to kill her if Hawkins isn't actually there. Hawkins kills the three deputies sent after him. Then he blows up the mortar round factory. Alas, Ted's a pussy, so Hawkins has to rescue the Green boys alone. Luckily, they were being transferred (and had Hawkins not blown up the factory, Jake most likely would have gotten his throat cut to get Eric to spill the beans on Jericho's defenses). So Hawkins and the Green boys shoot it out with the New Bernies, killing a bunch of them, but Hawkins and Marine Girl get shot. Mayor Dad had shown up earlier in the day, but wasn't allowed to see his sons (prolly because they were being tortured at the time!), and was escorted out of town. But with Hawkins blowing up the factory, that was enough distraction for him to drive back into town and to city hall and help them escape.
Of course, if New Bern wasn't pissed now, they'll be surely pissed after this mess. Sure, they were making plans to invade, but could Hawkins come up with a plan that didn't involve slaughtering a whole mess of them?! I mean, the body count is definitely in the double digits, and that's not even counting people who might've gotten blown up in the factory!
Oh, and some quick Unit commentary: So the CIA wants to recruit Bob as a mole within the unit? I had a feeling Jonas was testing him. He wants Bob to accepts the CIA's offer, but to be a double agent! On the homefront, Mac thinks Tiffy is having an affair with lawyer guy. Well, he wants to have an affair, but she's kinda resisting, but his assistant who hates her drops off the stuff she left at the office at the house, including an expensive bracelet lawyer guy got for her.
Anyways, what the?! So Mack flashes a bunch of money around at the local biker bar to encourage someone to try and mug him. Which someone does try, but he kicks their ass and steals their gun. Which was his plan from the get go so he could get his hands on a gun that couldn't be traced to him to do god knows what. What in the world, is he going to murder Tilly? Seriously, between this and screwing River, what's up with him? He might actually be the scariest member of the Unit. I mean Hector and Grey are kinda boring, and who would be scared of the Gnoll? I think Jonas is prolly extremely ruthless, more so than he lets on. But he's always cool headed. Mac on the other hand? He can do a lot of damage if he was pissed off enough.
And how some quick Crossing Jordan comments. No need for a cut. Sad cases this ep, I mean, a groom killed on his wedding day, and a good samaritan killed trying to save a mother of two from a mugging, but the woman ends up dying anyways, and the samaritan's sister gets all depressed and tries to kill herself. Oh and Jordan's still trying to deal with the aftermath of her tumor removal and Bug his ordeal from Homeland Security. Oh weird, the bride was Harmony from Buffy/Angel, and her best friend was Keri Lynn Pratt. Which was kinda spoilerish, because its like geez, since the latter is somewhat recognizable, could she have a deeper involvement in all this?
