Things I can't stand? People taking their sweet F.A. time! Which is ironic, given how I live such a banal existence! Its like dude, what are you in such a frakkin' rush for?! I'm working myself up for nothing. It's not like I don't "stop to smell the roses", but when I am moving, I'm moving as if I'm perennially late for something. (Again, ironic given I try to be as early as possible for things) It seems like I'm always rushing out of places. Work, church. I should actually try to get to know some of these church peeps. (How else am I gonna find a nice catholic girl to take home to mummy?) I noticed this wicked mad cutie for the first time yesterday, her auburn hair cut short and wearing a snazzy vest. But as always, I'm like one of the first people out there door once mass is over. Its not like I didn't have 5 minutes before work, even with going to the varsity to grab dinner beforehand.

Anyways, was it me, or was tonight's episode of Heroes frakkin' awesome?! Tonights ep was all about the origins of HRG. And we actually learn a whole lot of shit! So one of HRG's superiors is Eric Roberts? You know, Julia Roberts brother? I still find it hysterical that Emmy Roberts of Unfabulous fame is referred to as Julia Roberts' niece rather than Eric Roberts' daughter. Who else is involved with the company?! Claude! Well, back in the day, where he was HRG's mutie partner. Interesting, so they have teams where the pair up a powered person with a normal human? And looks like Matt will be that next partner! (So was the Haitian his current partner?)

Also involved with the company?! Sulu! In fact, it was under his orders that HRG adopts Claire. (and apparently young Hiro has met Eric Roberts, HRG, and Claude. Or at the very least been in the presence of them while playing his gameboy) HRG was hesitant at first, and when he "executes" Claude for hiding another Hero, Claude is all, "you're trying to be distant in the inevitable case when Claire manifests and you have to turn her in!" And as much a Company man HRG is, he's actually been doing the mindwipes and all that jazz to protect her, so the Company won't know she has powers and take her away from him.

It was actually bittersweet. All this time, Claire was trying to find her real parents (who lets face it, are kinda assy right now, or at least Meredith is, Nathan might actually turn out to be less of a dick) and being all pissed at HRG, but in the end, after we all find out he just did that to protect her, she realized he was and always be her father. Anyways, Eric Roberts shoots Ted, causing him to start to meltdown, but Claire manages to get close enough to sedate him. Pretty cool (yet gross and nausea inducing) make job on her to look all flash fried. But, in saving her quiet Odessa neighborhood, she reveals her powers to Eric Roberts. Ted and Matt are captured, HRG claims ignorance of Claire's powers and places blame on the Haitian, and HRG is ordered to turn over Claire.

But he doesn't, because he lurves her! Its all very Jack and Sydney Bristow-ish, with him seeing like a big dick, but actually caring a whole deal for her and having her best interest at heart even if it may not seem like it. So, he drives her out to the same place he shot Claude, and has the Haitian shoot him and mindwipe him to make everything look legit. Which is sad, because he'll forget all about their reconciliation. Will he forget that he cared and all he did for her? I guess so, which is very sad.

Now that's compelling TV folks!

Oh, and we're introduced to a new Hero working for the company. Its e-mail girl of Stick It fame, Missy Peregrym. Heh, I wonder if her power will be being able to send mind-control e-mails, ha!

Prison Break had some interesting developments also. So sad, so Linc contacts LJ and is all, I'll pick you up when this is all over, but LJ is all, no thanks, I want a normal life for a while. Linc tries to act like he didn't have his heart just ripped out. Then he asks to speak to Jane to get the name of a contact to give the recording to (which we still didn't get to hear!) Ha, I didn't see Kristin Lehman's name in the credits, so they just cut away and a few minutes later, Linc's all, "Okay, she gave me a name."

They contact him through the phone(?!) and surprise, surprise, they're set up, meeting up with a big faker. They manage to get out of it, because Mikey's pretty clever. Luckily, Sara goes to visit her father's grave, and her father's whatever he was finds her and is all "I'm not part of the conspiracy" and puts them in contact with the real guy they were trying to meet. Alas, he says they can't use it legally, as its a copy, and thus the timestamp on the recording doesn't prove if it was a conversation with Steadman after his supposed death. But, he does say they can use it illegally, to blackmail madame prez.

But, Kellerman's getting ready to snipe her. Other convict news? Sucre's living in the middle of nowhere Mexico with Maricruz, thinking they're living happily ever after. Unfortunately, since the FBI has no jurisdiction there, Mahone sends his dog Bellick there. Bellick offers Manche a transfer to a real cushy prison in exchange for Sucre's location. Somehow, he ends up on the same flight with T-Bag, who's murdered a psychiatrist who looks similar to him so he can fly to Thailand! Since they're in different classes though, they are blissfully unaware of each others' presence. And how the hell is T-Bag able to bring all that cash on the flight? Isn't that illegal, and don't they check for that sort of thing?

C-Note is using the finch website to try and get a hold of Scofield, but since the sons of Aldo are busy with their own shit, they don't notice/respond. And since Kim tracked them down himself, Mahone has no further need of him. Mahone promises to keep Kacee out of jail and Dede in medical care. But C-note has to hang himself. We end the ep with C-note trying the noose and jumping off his bed, though we don't know if he dies or not.

EDIT: Slutty MARRIED sluts giving pathetic guys sympathy fraks! cliffV('What's up with that?!') I am absotively scandalized!

Oh, and I've been reading the Ultimates compilation [livejournal.com profile] clevemire lent me, and I'll have to say Ultimate Captain America is not at all lame compared to Earth-616 Captain America.

And it looks like all the characters in VF5 have 4 distinct costumes. T5:DR peeps only have 2 (well some have 3, I think one or two might even have 4). I'm curious which has more accessories though. Not knowing that, its still hard to tell who has more customizability.

Not only was the Bennett/Claire thing kinda Jack and Sydney-ish, I thought Eric Roberts' office in the flashback kinda looked like Sloane's SD6 office.

And yeah, Ultimate Captain America is not lame. But regular Captain America is super lame.
