Went to Friday's for dinner since the roomie had a hankering for their sesame jack daniels chicken strips. Hadn't been there since they had the new "spicy" jack daniel's sauce. Which is kinda spicy. I also didn't go to my old standard of the jack daniel's burger, actually trying something new- the jack daniel's chicken alfredo. The roomie tried something new also, the new Jack Daniel's smoked beef brisket. Geez, can you tell we like that Jack Daniel's sauce? Its a good sauce though. Of course, I was a fan of the jack before I swore off alcohol. cv('You know I don't like to drink intoxicants, I want to experience life in all its agonizing glory.')

Hmm, looks like VF5 is coming out for the ps3 tomorrow. (Well, technically today since its almost midnight and I prolly won't finish typing this post up before the day changes) And, I think you can download tekken 5 dr (downloading games instead of buying them, what a novel concept!) for about $15-$20 starting 2/20 also. Between those two games, I'm almost tempted to get the ps3. There weren't any games out for it right now that interested me, but those two look pretty good.

Owel, on to Monday night TV round-up.

On Prison Break, since the Nine is done, Sucre can finally meet up with Maricruz and abscond with her. C-note's little girl is suffering renal failure, so he turns himself in to Mahone and offers up Michael if they free his wife and get his daughter the proper hospital care. Mahone appears to keep his word.

T-Bag takes the Hollanders to his old childhood home, and when Susan refuses to be a part of T-Bag's plan to start a new life, he locks them up and escapes, then tells the authorities where they are. Aw, are we supposed to feel sorry for him just because his daddy sexually abused him and the shiny new family didn't want to go along with his crazy plan to start a new life together? I mean, are we supposed to forget that he's a serial rapist-murderer of children? That he killed the veterinarian who patched up his arm, killed Geary and framed Bellick for it, killed some innocent postal worker he seduced to find Susan's real addy, beat up a veteran and stole his prosthetic arm, and beat up a father who was trying to stop him from molesting his underaged daughter?!

Team Scofield brings the Pope into things as he's able to get into that cigar club with Sara's dad's private humidor. He retrieves some bombshell of a recording (that we don't get to hear this week). But then Kim shows up, but Michael hits him with a car and Linc beats the hell out of him. And Sara locks Kellerman out of the car when they make their escape, leaving Kellerman on his own.

Anyways, they leave Pope behind at his house after he tells them the recording is huge. But they act like Pope's not screwed now. Kim knows he knows something now. Won't they come after him?!

Woah, big ep of Heroes tonight. No Sanders family this week, so I guess we'll have to wait on that Nathan/Jessica confrontation. Where to start? Hiro and Dauber (or Tom "M-O-O-N spells moon" Cullen the retard to you Stand fans) catch up to Ando and Hope. Ando gets clipped, and we totally don't get to see what sounds like a cool gunfight between Hope and Dauber. Hiro unknowingly uses his powers to stop Hope from shooting him in the face. And then he leaves Ando (and gets on a bus driven by Stan Lee!) because he's worried Ando will get killed since he has no powers of his own.

Mohinder and Sylar meet a lady with superhearing. Heh, she's all, if you're here to take it away, you're in for a fight. Hey, she looks like a big tough lady, and Sylar and Mohinder are kinda skinny looking, so she might be able to take them, but she talks as if she has some power besides super hearing. I mean, being able to hear well won't do her that much good in a straight up fight. Anyways, Sylar kills her for her power, though you'd think he doesn't have to steal every power he comes across. Especially one like that. Without control that power is pretty disruptive. Oh, and Sylar acts all creepy and acts like he's not the one who killed Mohinder's father or super hearing lady. I wonder when Mohinder will figure it out. Because Sylar is frickin' creepy, even when he's trying to act normal. Or mebbe because he doesn't know how to act like a normal human being.

Matt's wife finds out about the stolen diamonds and is disappointed in him and wants him to return them. Oh, and I just looked it up on imdb, and she's indeed not American born. Its gotten to the point where I can pick out Aussies and Canadians pretending to speak US-accented English. It was pretty obvious tonight the way she was talking. I don't know how to describe it. Its like, it just sounds off. But I digress. Anyways, Matt looks like he's about to do the right thing, but then he gets a call from Ted and meets up with him and Hana. Although I think she might be a little confusing to people who haven't read the online comic. I guess they give you enough info there, but to people who don't read the comic, I'd think they'd be all, "Who the frak is this?!"

Oh, and then they (or at least Matt and Ted) break into the Bennet's household and take them hostage. Speaking of the Bennets, they were just getting home from the hospital, as Claire's mom's brain is broken from all the mindwipes. She's so distraught she reveals straight out she didn't forget anything. HRG tries to apologize, but Claire's not having it.

Oh, and he and the Haitian go to NYC to capture Peter and Claude. Isaac calling HRG makes more sense now, as 1) he's jealous over Simone and 2) he's the only one he think he can trust to stop Peter. They go onto the rooftop and interrupt Claude and Peter's training session. Interesting, they were wearing thermal goggles, so I guess Claude is invisible to the naked eye, but shows up on infrared? Anyways, Peter makes judicious use of his various powers- tk during his practice session with Claude, Hiro's time stop to prevent himself from getting tasered by the Haitian, using Nate's flying to get away. Claude's pissed, because he had fooled HRG and his group into thinking he was dead, and now he's back on their radar. So he runs off invisibly, leaving Peter to fend for himself.

Peter confronts Isaac at his apartment. Apparently he can use multiple powers at the same time, as he turned invisible and started harassing Isaac with his telekinesis. Isaac starts shooting around randomly. And then shoots Simone as she comes in through the door! So she's the one who dies?!

Woah, I'd be scared for Isaac right now, because I'd think Peter could easily kill Isaac in a rage. I was amused by Peter being all pissed because Isaac calling HRG caused Claude to run away and now he won't know how to control his powers to stop from blowing up. He was showing a lot of control throughout this ep after HRG attacked and when confronting Isaac, so I don't know what he's talking about.

Which has me wondering, if Sylar and Peter threw down, who would win? (Oh, and Peter's been in the presence of the Haitian, so does he have his power now? Or does he have touch the person? He has Matt's telepathy, but did they touch during his interrogation by Audrey and Matt?) I mean, Peter would have all of Sylar's powers, plus a few powerful ones of his own- invulnerability, flight, telepathy, control of fricking time and space! Of course, the problem is he might get overwhelmed suddenly gaining Sylar's powers and might now know how to control them. I'd be hard pressed to say who would win. Even if he didn't get overwhelmed, he's a good guy whereas Sylar would prolly be going for the kill. It would definitely be a cool looking fight!

Oh, [livejournal.com profile] clevemire, did you see that article saying Tom Brady knocked up your babysitter? Too bad he's dating Gisele right now.

Argh, I forgot I was almost up to 2000 entries like a couple of weeks ago, and was gonna be all "woo hoo" or something when I reached 2k. (there was definitely gonna be woo. and hoo. But luckily no "uh oh" and "why now?") But I like totally missed it 7 posts ago! Oops. Random thought of the day: Who names their sons "Stringfellow" and "Saint John"? And why would you ever pronounce the latter as "sinjin"? It does not make cents!

Peter is a total badass, I don't get why he still needs Dr. Invisible Who to help him out. And yeah, when Weiss's wife got upset, she sounded super-Aussie.

And... yeah I did see that article. And then my brother mentioned it on the phone, and my mom emailed it to me. I wonder if they broke up because of it?

Yeah, for someone who "couldn't control his powers", he seemed to have no problem escaping from HRG and the Haitian.

Tom Brady dumping Bridget Moynahan because he knocked her up? Wouldn't that make him a huge a-hole? I was going to say wouldn't his people be all, wait for her to have the baby (or at the very least, pretend they're still together) and then they announce they're separated a few months afterwards, but I forgot he's an athlete, not an actor, so he prolly doesn't have a dedicated publicist or whatever.

He's an athlete with endorsement deals... at the very least he has an agent and a business manager, but probably also a publicist.

My Sophomore year english teacher knew we had used Cliff Notes by the way we pronounced St. John when we read Jane Eyre. Cliff notes offered the correct pronunciation and she suspected we'd say it as "St. John."

FYI... Totally random fact. Jamie Bamber's middle name is St. John. Making him Jamie St. John Bamber Griffith. Yeah, I'm nuts...

OK, this comment is completely useless...
