geebsHoly frak, its cold out there. According to weather.com, it feels like 12 degrees outside. Owel, I was feeling tired earlier and tried going to sleep, but then started getting one of my late night freak outs for some reason. And its not like for any specific reason either, just a general feeling of anxiety. So I'm up again, turning on the telly to get my mind off things, as that always helps.
I'm just about finished with the second FMA box set. I've been enjoying the series so far. I like the sheer number of characters, all of whom are pretty interesting. And its cool that there will be some character who appears minor, but ends up playing a bigger role several eps later. Also cool are the intersecting story arcs and links between various characters. And while there is some philosphizing, its nowhere near as confusing or heavy handed as stuff like Evangelion or the GitS series, its actually understandable.
Oh, and I just saw the new trailer for Tekken 6. And its actual game footage, as opposed to the weird Jin doing kata or the three way fight between Jin, Lili, and Hwoarang. So there's two new characters, some chick named Zafina who does... some sort of snake style? And the other is some effeminate dude named Leo, though I'm not sure what his style is supposed to be. And apparently Bryan Fury has a shotgun now that he can actually use in juggles? I'm not sure what I think about that.
And I don't know about you, but if I was in a theater trying to watch a movie, and there were a bunch of chyx giggling and letting their candy bars float around all over the place, I'd be pretty pissed.

Date: 2007-02-16 02:35 pm (UTC)When I was at home for xmas, I went to see that Pursuit of Happyness movie with my shitsters and mom.
Well there were these two 13ish yo girls sitting next to us that wouldn't STFU, so after a bit i started staring at them pointedly. One girl giggles and whispers "she's staring at us" to the other girl, who had far too subtly been trying to shush her stupid friend for the past umpteen minutes. After she said that, I (basically) said, "well maybe i would stop if you would shut the hell up" in a very loud voice the entire theater could probably hear. (this was during the previews btw -- there was no way i was going to put up with this shit during the movie)
Others nearby thanked me for yelling at them. In addition, my sister S went to talk to her friend who worked at the theater about it, and she came to tell the girls that if they get any more complaints about them not STFUing, that the theater would be forced to expel them.
Either way, that STFU'd them for the rest of the movie. Teens are so damned annoying.
