Had the usual suspects over for Chili and Lost. Now, I'm just slowly trudging through the plethora of stuff on the DVR.

On Lost, so the whole key turning thing made Desmond leap into the past? And he learns that he can't change fate? I'm curious if these flashes of the future he's having are just that, flashes, or has he been leaping back and forth? I had a feeling he was actually trying to save Charlie. Him trying to save Claire seemed a little too neat.

So on FNL, the walkout last until the actual leaving for the game on gameday. Mac tries to resign, but Coach won't let him, nor will he fire them. I was curious to see what waverly would say about Smash and the others going back to play, but I guess that would make things a little murkier. Anyhoo, the opposing team really rides smash, but when they make an off color remark, Tim decks a guy harassing Smash starting a brawl. The game is called, and since 3/4 had been played and Dillon was ahead, they get the win, infuriating the opposing town. I'm unsure what those cops were trying to do by trying to arrest Smash. Its not like he was alone, he had a bus load of coaches and players with him, they weren't going to let those cops take off with him! The fact they ran off makes me think there actually weren't charges (and wasn't it Tim who actually started things), which again, what were they going to do? Beat him up or something?

On to Matt and Julie. And Tyra and Landry. Ha, I'm amused by Landry's not a snowball's chance in hell liking of Tyra. Those two definitely add to the Matt/Julie dynamic, with Landry's bad advice and Tyra's mean friend looking out for Julie attitude. Which reminds me, I was a little confused with Julie still being mad at Matt. I thought the whole powder-puff thing mended the fences, but I guess not. Aw, but how cute, he asked her to be his girlfriend. They're definitely one of the cutest couples on TV right now- so sweet and innocent!

OTH, I'm a little confused by Dan. In some ways, he's extremely evil continuing to cover up the whole killing Keith thing, but he seems sincere in trying to getting back with Karen and being the father figure to Lucas. He apparently does not believe in karma!

I'm also confused about the whole Shelly/Mouth thing. So, she's upset that she gave it up, but I don't get why she dumped him. So it was apparently a goodbye fuck, because she doesn't trust herself with him? But in screwing him, she already broke her trust (with herself!?) so it just makes no cents whatsoever.

So Rachel takes the fall for the test, by switching pop quizes with Brooke so it would look as if she had passed, and therefore it would be consistent with her passing the previous test. But Haley gets fired also, so she bitch slaps Rachel. But Rachel is willing to take all that and get expelled because she wants to help out Brooke. And that Chase guy is all, good for Brooke for worrying about Rachel. If she really was so good, shouldn't they just be honest about everything? I mean, she has her dreams and all, and she made a stupid mistake, but wouldn't a good person own up to it anyways?

Hmm, and just when Brooke and Peyton are civil again, they find an old sex tape where Nathan and Brooke do it. What's the big deal?! Like they said, Nathan was an asshole back then! He's a different person, and in his and Brooke's defenses, they partied and got drunk and screwed around with so many people back then it prolly totally slipped their minds! Not that that's really acceptable either, but I don't think they were intentionally keeping people like Haley and Peyton in the dark. (Which brings up the whole Rachel and Brooke joining Clean Teens, I would think they would've been suspicious of them immediately instead of them being members for weeks, given their respective reps!)

I can say Haley being a little mad, but honestly, he's with her now, and they're having a baby. Does it really matter in the scheme of things. And I'm guessing Peyton's mad because Brooke's been giving her so much shit over Lucas that the fact that Nathan and Brooke had gone around behind her back back when Peyton and Nate were dating was kinda hypocritical of Brooke?

And its just wrong that I spent the more time talking about OTH instead of the much superior FNL in this post! What the frak?

I think the idea was that the town of the opposing team was racist. The thing that started the fight was the dude calling Smash a "tar baby," and every single player and fan (and cop) was white. Which sort of helped Smash with Mac, cause Mac doesn't seem quite so bad in that light.
