So quick recap: Seth invites himself and Summer to Ryan's surprise trip to Vegas for him and Taylor. Why? Because Summer's pissed because Seth's a big baby and kinda a jerk for being totally lax with their relationship as of late. Taylor figures out Summer might be preggers, but they try to keep mum, leading to a misunderstanding where Seth and Ryan suspect Taylor's the preggo. Just as Taylor and Summer are about to find the results of the pregnancy test, there's a contrived sitch where some random chick in an alien costume steals Taylor's purse (which she put the taken pregnancy test in for a second, ew!) leading them to some weird rave in the middle of the desert where Taylor's paranoia that Ryan thinks she's kinda a whore get the better of her, which combined with Ryan thinking she might be pregnant (and since they haven't done it yet, it can't be his) leads to a small Rylor spat. Seth and Ryan figure out its Summer who has the pregnancy scare and not Taylor, the couples make up and Seth proposes to Summer before they find out the results so he can say he didn't ask her just because she might be pregnant. She's not, though both don't look too excited about this proposal now.

Back in Newport, Spencer and Juju are worried that details about their escort service might come to light. They get more worried when Bullitt's friend Frank is brought on board to check the books. Frank lets Julie know he knows what's up, and at first Julie thinks he wants sex for his silence, he just wants info on the Cohens. Because he's Ryan's father!! And Sandy figures this out as well!

Oh, and we get some Bullitt/Kaitlin father-daughterish bonding, and its nice.

All in all, this ep wasn't as entertaining for me as the last few. It went by a bit fast without too much stuff happenning. Ryan and Taylor haven't had sex yet? Really? With their combined experience? I'm almost as skeptical as I was when they revealed Summer was a virgin back when she and Seth first did it. And it sounds like they're going to continue to wait?

Other things I found off: Well, I always find things odd whenever they mention Atomic County. That whole business just bugs me, because seriously, if Seth was the artist and writer, what the hell could he turn over to Zach? The idea of "Atomic County", with a new creative team and artists? Then what's actually his? Were there Atomic County comics already produced before Seth gave it up? Otherwise, how could he really have fans? I mean, he did speak at that Comic Con, but that was two years ago! Atomic County as it is now, is prolly nothing like it was when he first created it. Yeah, a silly nit pick, but being a comic book fan, it still bugs me.

As evidenced by a previous post, I was spoiled for Hercules' being Ryan's dad. Don't get me wrong, I was still excited by the reveal. Well, more so that they're bring his father into the mix. I'm still a little skeptical about the casting though. Similar faces, yes. Heh, but why is Ryan so short with a dad that big? And he just seems a little too male model-y. I don't know how to describe it, but he doesn't fit my image of what Ryan's dad would be like. Is it that he doesn't seem too poor white-trashy?

Oh, we do get a Jimmy mention this ep. The reason for the Kaitlin-Bullitt time is because Jimmy blew Kaitlin off because he had a party to host that would be out of "cell phone range". See, this is a side of Jimmy I wish we got to see in the Chrismmuk-huh? I mean, he's a nice enough guy most of the time, but he was kinda assy when it came to his family. So it just seems like he was the one getting a raw deal when it came to hooking Sandy and Kirsten back up in the alt-universe, because Kirsten's problems had nothing to do with him. Owel, I wonder if we'll get some deleted scenes when s4 comes out in DVD. Because The Chrismmuk-huh was nice, but as I said last week, it coulda been better if they made it a little longer.

EDIT: Forgot to mention another thing I liked about this ep- the Taylor/Summer stuff. I've always thought Taylor seemed like a better friend to Summer than Marissa ever was. Ida know, it just seemed like Marissa was never around when Summer was the one having problems, making their friendship a little one sided. Sure, Taylor can be a little weird, but at least you can tell she cares. Well, I guess I like it general when they make Taylor feel more a part of their little group.

Last night, had dinner at Moe's with the usual suspects, did a little shopping and saw the late showing of Rocky Balboa. It was actually pretty good. I know, you're thinking, a sixth rocky? Well, if you can forget the fifth one ever existed, this movie is a fitting end to the series. And I'm glad we did a marathon this past weekend, because there are tons of callbacks to the first movie in this one. Heh, I would've missed out on a lot.

Oh, and I finally get everyone's 4th in SW2! So technically I've gotten everything there is to get.
