Heh, okay, I guess I can be a bit of a worry wart. While picking up some groceries after work, I decided to check my phone for calls. The sucky thing about the sk3 is the ringer is frickin' impossible to hear on normal, particularly in the machine room, so I constantly miss calls (I should put it on max when I'm at work). So I see I missed 3 phone calls and have 2 voice mails from my parents. I'm a little freaked, given the last two messages my mom left me last week were 1) telling me my uncle in the Philippines had a heart attack, and 2) telling me me brudder
sparkyboy had to go to the hospital for a severe asthma attack. Thankfully, it wasn't too bad,
isabel79 talks about checking up on him in her lj. So I'm thinking, what the emergency is that both my parents left me messages. And I'm getting no reception in the publix, compounding my worry. But I toggled the wireless on and off and listened to my messages.
The voicemails were happy b-days. Ha, I totally forgot today was my b-day! I mean, I got an e-mail from
dashoka this morning telling me happy birthday, but I forgot it was my b-day a few hours later. Since I had that kinda surprise party Sunday, I stopped thinking about my birthday.
The big three-oh. Damn, i'm old. Physically at least. Alas, I'm still a boy mentally. Hopefully I'll grow up sooner or later.
