geebsWhat was with that GG reference last night on Family Guy? I get that Lorelai the 2nd and 3rd talk like a mile a minute and make all those pop culture references. But who wants to see them make out? I mean, I'm always saying Alexis Bledel is a hottie who doesn't get enough play. And Lauren Graham was my favorite Townie (does anyone even remember that show?!) so I've always thought she was hot. But the two of them together doesn't really do it for me.
Almost done with Edgemont. I'll have to say some of the storylines ended rather abruptly. Paige was an interesting character. Even though she dressed a lot like Avril Lavigne. But hey, I like that look. What is it called, Canadian skater punk? Her brother is still around, but she's gone. What was up with that? Mark and Laurel moved on, Mark gravitated towards Paige. And then all of a sudden, Laurel is about to leave for Japan and he has feelings for her again? Where did that come from? And way to be an ass to a poor single mother who risked her job to get his job back.
Speaking of gone people, I guess Kat leaves in the last season also, having moved away with her mom. Although its kinda confusing, because Travis ends up staying and telling Mark that the mom's bf said, why doesn't he live with the father? Wait, what about Kat? So the bf is cool with Kat but not Travis. Hmm, I'd be suspicious that he's some perv!
The show does have some hotties. Or maybe they're just Geebs-cute. Well, there's Kristin Kreuk, playing Laurel Yeung the same way she does Lana Lang. She's a hottie, obviously. But if I had to pick three chyx after her, hmm. Number one would definitely have to be Erin Woodbridge. She would be the sweet girl next door, had she not come under the influence of Anika at so young an age. Like I said, the fact that she doesn't get play from anyone but losers is unfathomable. She's mad cute, smart, witty, and stylish. (Oh, and deceptively stacked!) I guess she just has the misfortune of going after guys who think they're out of her league. I don't know if that's better or worse than Tracey, who gets used by those same exact guys to make other girls jealous, or to forget some other girl. But I digress, this only contributes to Erin's negative self image. So she thinks the only way she can get a guy is by being evil and manipulative. After all, Anika always taught her to look out for number one and do anything to achieve your goals. So I guess that aspect of her personality can be a turn-off. Which makes this such a vicious cycle! The poor girl!
Number Two would have to be Bekka Lawrence. She's so fresh faced and cute! And doesn't mind the occasional video game. But I guess Gil wasn't exaggerating when he say she's high maintenance. I thought he was just saying that to turn Kevin off her. But what the hell, complaining about Travis moving away? What choice does he have, he's a freakin' 10th grader, he can't stay on his own! Though I guess that's what Laurel did. And Shannon. And Mark. I'm always amused by that teen drama cliche where you have some high school kid living on their own. I don't even think that's legally possible. Though I'm amused by this turn of events where she's starting to have a thing for Mark. Ha, and she's dating his younger brother? How interestingly delicious!
Which brings us to number three, Maggie Buckman. Okay, I guess she's doesn't go to Mckinley, but she works at the local hangout. Now she's a cute piece of ass. And like I said, has that way sexy voice. And she might have a thing for Mark now also? I wonder if they're gonna end up acting on it. That would be totally awesome, especially since they share that apartment together with Laurel. That has the potential to be deliciously interesting. Ah, another drama cliche I find hysterical. The two people having an intimate moment, one of whom has a SO, and then they're interrupted by the SO calling on the phone. What are the chances of them calling, at that exact moment? But then I guess if it didn't happen that way, it wouldn't be "drama".
