Just as a heads up, this'll be a RE4 post, so you can stop reading now if that's not your bag. Haven't beaten it yet, but I am on the final chapter/second disc. Its been a long and hard road, but a really fun one too. Strangely enough, its not the boss fights that are hard but the random button pressing required of traps and special events. I mean, it does make things exciting, but sometimes it just happens so quickly and unexpectedly its a little frustrating. Like having to do the mine cart part all over again because I didn't expect that jumping part at the end. I mean, after going through that insane mine cart ride and to die at the end because I didn't press a button exactly did piss me off a little, but I got through it. Its the ones during the cut scenes that can be really frustrating. There were a couple of times where I looked away from the screen during a cut scene and ended up getting killed. I mean, its a cut scene so you think you can take a breather, but not really. Its' very Dungeon Lair in that respect. The most insane one is the Krauser knife fight followed by the laser hallway (a homage to the first RE movie). Thankfully, if you continue when dying at the lasers you don't have to do the Krauser knife fight again. I mean, its a beautifully choreographed action sequence, but having to that timed thing as many times as you have to it a little harrowing.

Also frustrating was the shooting gallery. I did get all 24 bottlecaps though. I wouldn't look forward to having to do that all over again. But you get $$ for each row you collect. And money gets especially tight at the end of the game. There's no way I can get the exclusive upgrades the first time through. I wonder if you still have to wait until you get to the proper merchant to get those upgrades, or if any merchant will sell the upgrades in the new game.

Oops, I said this was gonna be just an re4 post, but just saw [livejournal.com profile] poodleface on American Idol. Interestingly deceptive. I rmemeber him telling us that wasn't even the song he sang for Simon and the other judges. And if you look at the floor and positioning of the back wall when he sings his song and compare it to when he walks in, its different. But yeah, they totally editted it! I remember him telling us their criticisms, and on the show they just like cut to Paula making a face and Rob stopping and being all, "you're making a face" and then Simon sending him on his way. Owel, it shouldn't be surprising that these shows cut things in a way to suit their purposes.

He was the guy with glasses who was a projectionist singing "Dancing in the Streets". Simon asked him, "What are you, a gymnast?"
