Just had lunch at the Chow Won Buffet or whatever its called, up by Steve Reynolds on 85 with the roomie, [livejournal.com profile] dashoka and Sampson and the rest of his asian crew. That area is apparently becoming Atlanta's Korea-town according to J. Anyways, its all you can eat Korean BBQ for $13. Its insane! But so good! And filling! Just piled up on various porks and beefs. They were prolly all, "Oh great!" when we came in. I mean, I'm a lightweight, though I can handle my own at times, but not compared to the usual suspects. I still say the lady was all, "Oh, thank goodness!" when she finally had a chance to close the grill. I think we cooked no less than a dozen bowls and plates filled with various meats. At the very least, it has to be in the double digits. I mean, I went up twice and got 4 bowls of stuff, and that was just me. I think the other five guys got up at least thrice and came back with overflowing plates or multiple bowls. So to get all that for just $13 each (well, 18 after tax and tip) is awesome. Of course, you also have to be familiar with Korean BBQ style places, and may end up having to tend to your grill yourself a couple of times when its really busy.

Anyways, I would think if I had not met the roomie or [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out and wife and the 3 mongos or the asian crew, I prolly would not have gotten to try as many varied eateries as I've gotten to since I moved to Atlanta. I mean, there's no way I would have tried most of the places on my own.
