Jan. 16th, 2005 04:28 pmAh, what a weekend so far. Friday night was the first Exalted game. It was really fun, I really enjoyed it. Sis also let me borrow the latest ish of Kare Kano. It looks like its back to focusing on Yukino and Arima. I've been enjoying the stories about the other characters, especially Tsubasa and Maho, but it should be interesting to see things get back to them.
Saturday had lunch at La Madeline or however the hell you spell it. It was pretty good. Had the french country breakfast, which was scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties, a potato cake thingie, and a croissant. Also got a side of three strips of bacon. Saw Elektra. It was okay, pretty generic action movie but not too bad. And of course, Jennifer Garner looked hot. Though the Elektra-Typhoid Mary slow motion kiss was totally excessive. Afterwards, went on my quest trying to find an IC card for Tekken 5 and the Leatherman Charge XTi. Alas, no luck on either front, so I just got the Complete Adventurer from SotP instead. But I ended up ordering the Charge XTi off Amazon.
Had dinner at the eye-talian kitchen. Got the Pasta Supreme with sausage. I didn't know you could top that with pepperoni. I got to try that one of these days. Afterwards, the usual suspects pokered it while watching the Falcons game. And it looks like it'll be Eagles vs Falcons next week. How birdy, what are the chances of that happening? Oh, and I showed the guys my OC tape, which speaking of I forgot to mention how funny it was to have Ryan and Lindsay making out to Journey's "Open Arms". That's good continuity. I mean, Ryan mentioning off hand in the ep where he and Seth double date with Lindsay and Alex (I don't recall the title off the top of my head) that he's a Journey fan calling back to "The Goodbye Girl" where that's playing in the Range Rover when he drove Seth to the airport to say goodbye to Anna and Seth is all "WTF?!" and he's all "Don't knock Journey!"? Kinda weak. But having that song playing in the background during their supposed study session, is funny. Anyways, I showed the guys the tape because I wasn't sure that was Rob in the American Idol commercial where the VO is all "badder" and he's singing "Dancing in the Streets" I think. But it was indeed him. Though he said that wasn't actually the song he sang for Simon and the other judges, he sang that at a different point in the process. They can be pretty deceptive when they show these clips of contestants. Like they make him sound terrible, but I heard he can sing way better than that.
Today, had lunch at the Oriental Pearl. Then I went to SotP to ask the girl who works there out. Only the guys in front of me at the register totally do it first. That asshole! It was uncanny. I mean, I was a little suspicious when they were asking all this stuff about her. But the literal second after I thought, "knowing my luck, this guy is about to ask her out", he does so! cliffV('What's up with that?!') I shoulda asked her out anyways, but I thought that would look kinda stupid. Owel, went to Lenox afterwards and picked up Resident Evil 4 and a memory card and the strategy guide. Yes, I always play with the strategy guide. Ida know, the thought that I've missed doing something while going through the game is just way too much. That means I have to start the game all over again, because what's the point if you don't do it without getting everything? So that should be fun. Owel, church is in half an hour, so I'm about to head off to that.
