Nov. 12th, 2004 08:26 amBeen feeling miserable all day yesterday and today. I just wanna curl up and go to sleep now, but alas, there's work. And I still have 2 more days of work to go. And I have to take my car in sometime soon to get the emissions inspection done since my b-day is coming up soon, and thus, renewing my registration. I'm thinking of doing it after work, and hopefully it won't take too long, so I can grab a nap before heading up to C+T's with C-note tonight.
And dang, the boss said DW got the promotion. Well, that sucks. Well, not that he got it, because I think he deserves it. But there were two of those positions open until budget cuts got one of them re-classified to the one I have currently. And the boss did say, if there were two positions, I would've gotten the other one, and it was a real tough decision between me and him. I had a feeling that would happen. He was the only real competition I thought I had, and was sure the two positions would go to me and him, but when the other one dropped, I was worried. Owel. Alas, and I'm back to working only 40 hours a week next semester. Sure, I got a raise this year, but not getting the promotion and not getting OT means a decrease in bank, which sucks. We are understaffed, so mebbe I can volunteer to stay into evening shift, though they really need people for 8pm-11pm, not 3pm-7pm.
Anyways, its disappointing, but what can you do? I did have a great dream last night though, a nice and wonderful one that I didn't want to wake up from. Like when I heard my alarm from the real world going off deep within my dream self's mind I was all, damn. Don't you just hate it when things are cool and it turns out to be a dream?
It was quite the surprise to have Andy drop by for five minutes yesterday. I guess he has a long weekend from UF, so he was going up to see the family, but he dropped by briefly to drop off some DVDs. Then the roomie came back from his mysterious trip. Well, not so mysterious, he went to Seattle. Still looking for greener pastures, I guess. Had dinner at Roaster's and hit Cumberland real quick so the roomie could pick up LotR: The Third Age (no, the cute chick that you assume is not cute because my taste sucks wasn't there,
clevemire, so you didn't miss out on proving me wrong) Watched Joey, the OC, and caught the end of this week's Drawn Together since the DVR cut off right before the end Wednesday night to switch to recording Smallville. I figured that's how it ended.
A pretty good ep. So Ryan's gonna be an architect? And Hailey took off for North Shore or rather "Japan"? And both M/R and S/S are on the outs? And Caleb is arrested. It was silly for the previews of next week show him pointing a new CEO and the VO being all, "You'll never guess who he's gonna pick!" Uh, didn't they reveal that in the season previews before the premiere?! So, no, its not a surprise, because you've already shown it to us, Mr. Preview guy. Anyways, the comic book club scene was hilarious, especially with Ryan getting all embarassed. And that Zach seems like an okay guy. And as much as I like Seth-Summer, she was on-spot at the end. RB really did a good job. I mean, the transitions to being worried about Seth almost getting run over to being angry that he could do something so stupid like jump in front of Zach's car to her teary "You had me, but you only want me when you can't have me" speech. Though in Seth's defense, he didn't really choose Anna over her at Christmukkah, he turned then both down, and New Year's she just showed up. Though that was kinda wussy of him then that instead of making a real decision, he just went with what was right in front of him, which just ended up hurting Anna. As for Summer, he was kinda a dick to her a couple of times, only showing his love for her when he didn't have her/was worried about losing her. I mean, the whole running a way to Portland thing prolly wouldn't have been as insulting if he at least asked her to come with him. Make some sort of effort that he really wants her in his life. I mean, running away from home and saying you're never returning and just leaving the girl you professed your undying love for behind isn't very flattering. Owel, maybe he'll realize what an idiot he was and the chase can be back on, only this time he's chasing her for her, and not the thrill of the chase, that should be cool to watch.
