Went to Carrabas with the roomie,
phatjoe,
clevemire, and C-note last night. It was good. When we left to head back, it was a torrential downpour. I mean, the ride home was slightly scary. It was then that I realized that the satellite was probably out, and I wasn't gonna be able to record Veronica Mars. Dammit, and I just saw MTV no longer does the replays at 7pm. And I don't know anyone else who actually watches this show. cliffV('What's up with that?!') Its a great show! I guess I'll have to ask around what my options are internet wise, as this is the first time in years I've ever missed one of my shows totally. When my cable was out all those years ago,
mathslut helped me out with DC. And the GMA watches a lot of the same shows, and he has cable, so that was a backup for weather-related no-TV issues. And for power outages, there was always work. (I know, I spend a lot of effort trying to not miss my shows, its an addiction!)
But the weather cleared up in time for Gilmore Girls. Since when did Emily hate Luke? She seemed sort of okay with it in first season. This whole parents against Luke seems a little out of left field. The Zach-Lane thing was amusing. I mean, they live together, so the idea of them just hanging out at home for their first date was kinda funny. And the Life and Death brigade are totally lame. Secret societies having weird sex orgies and/or seeking to control everything behind the scenes, I understand. But dressing in period costumes and not saying any words with "E" in them, or engaging in physical and/or messy activities in fancy clothes is kinda lame. I mean, who would do that? And I saw one of the jumpers was asian, and one of the girls on the ground in the background was black. Like a ivy-league secret society would really have coloreds! And while some people find this Logan kind charming, I don't like him. Of course, I hate those kinda guys, but they still haven't given Rory a love interest that I've thought was okay. Well, 1st season Dean was okay, I guess, but current Dean sucks. Tristan and Jess were assholes. I can't remember that one Yale-y Rory went on a date with, so I'll assume he was boring. And that jack-ass that Emily set Rory up near the end of last season was, well, a jack-ass. That Marty guy seems like he might be okay. But from the previews, it looks like Rory and Dean are on the outs.
