Oct. 7th, 2004 09:14 amActual work coming in today. Damn, no matter what I wrote, I'm thinking someone isn't gonna be pleased. But what can you do, it was beyond our control. I had the hardest time phrasing this one part, because I wasn't sure if we should mention it or not. It was basically a damned if you do, damned if you don't sitch. If I do mention it, people may freak out, and upper management prolly wouldn't want us to mention it anyway if it ends up not being that big a deal. But if I don't say anything, and the wrong person encounters the problem and raises a stink about it, then the bossmen will be all, "Why didn't you say this?" Owel, what can you do?
Tired, up playing X-men after Wednesday night TV last night. Its like, I kept on telling myself, I'll just level these characters to level 35. Then it became getting these other guys up, and next thing I know, its midnight. Though I did decide to beat the level I was on. And as an example of how overpowered my characters are, it was a boss fight against Sabretooth and Avalanche, and that took literally two seconds. Seriously, the battle started, I did Jean Grey's Legend Scream, and it cut immediately to the end battle scene. I was all, is there another part of the intro? But no, the bad guys were defeated instantly! Ida know, they say Wolverine is overpowered, but Jean Grey is my real crowd clearer, and I don't think there's an enemy currently that can stand up to her psychic attacks. Even those mentally resistant go down pretty quickly. Though I'm wondering if the battle was that quick solely on her own merits, or the fact that Cykes and Storm were there giving her insane combo bonuses from their leadership abilities. Not to mention they're heavy hitters as well. I'm thinking I can prolly hold up on the levelling for a while, maybe starting farming for money and items in one of the danger room courses I haven't finished yet. Equipment is expensive! That and maybe do the next few levels and unlock Psylocke.
Getting to Wednesday night TV. Lost was pretty good. And intriguing. Lots of mysteries about. And the hot "I don't see why people think she looks like Kate Beckinsale" chick was about to spill her guts on one of them, but stupid Po5 guy is all "I don't wanna know!" But the audience does! And we're going to have to adjust the times, as Lost starts/ends late, but the WB in the Central time zone starts Smallville earlier. So, we missed the last few seconds of Lost (what happened?!) and the beginning few seconds of Smallville. Speaking of, that was a hum drum ep. Weird that they had a Whitney csmeo in the beginning. I mean, have people been saying, "Bring back Whitney!"? And are they trying to hook up Lex and Lana? They have been getting chummy lately, and he seemed a little jealous when he saw Teague in the hospital bed with her. Speaking of triangles, what a strange ending. I thought Chloe jumped off the Clark train. Now she's jealous that he and Lois are getting so close now? And what's with next weeks promos? Is it about kryptonite gator-ade?! And what's with them ripping off the Charmed promos and making funny titles for the eps. I mean, those aren't even the actual names of the eps, just some name some dude on the WB made up that they thought would sound funny.
